As a guy who likes slim/skinny/slender women, it seems to me too that there are lots of threads out there about appreciating curvy or larger women, but maybe that's because people with those body types feel under-appreciated or pressured to conform to the "ideal" catwalk model-esque body shape?

I wonder too, if some guys are wary of sowing a liking of skinny women for fear of being seen as "fat-shaming"

Maybe. I guess I wouldn't start a thread about how much I like men over six foot for the same reason, I wouldn't want anyone to think I was dissing shorter men. I find the bbw appreciation threads very distasteful and unnecessary myself but if they make other women feel appreciated then I'm glad. None of my regular fwbs, some of whom I've been seeing for years ever mentioned liking bigger women. I tend to avoid men who make a big issue of it.

Well as someone has stated... Isn't that every other night? Or do you want an event that overweight women are explicitly not welcome at? Cos I believe a couple of clubs already cater for that. It's like asking for a straight pride event. The whole world is a straight pride event. You don't need an event to celebrate being straight cos no one gives you shit about it. Slim women are already (apparently) the perceived ideal so why would you need an event to remind you of it?

BBW nights are comparable to pride events? Is that genuinely the purpose of them? I honestly thought they were evenings where the men and women who enjoyed that body shape could meet. I wouldn't go to such an evening, not because I have anything against BBW but because I assume I wouldn't be welcome.

Is this derailing the thread? Cos I don't wanna do that or be seen as hostile. I've never been to a bbw event, nor would I, I'm a wonan, not a body type or fetish. I don't really know who's welcome and who isn't. What I meant was that if slim is the perceived ideal in the same way that heterosexuality is the perceived norm then you don't need an event to celebrate it. The world is there for you to celebrate in. Go to it

Don't worry. No offence taken.

My point is that most of the clubs we go to, BBWs are plentiful and encouraged (events laid on etc), but unless you go to an exclusive KK or LB style event, those who are of slighter build are not.

For those who us that have or like slim bodies, small boobs etc the need is not just catered for in run of the mill clubs.

Just as BBC events are catered for too. It is just finding that niche and the audience for it.

If there was money to be made in it, the clubs would do it, so I'm guessing the general concensus is that it wouldn't gather enough interest. Or not as much as other nights.

That's not me negging on it, I think it would be a decent idea, but there must be a reason they don't already.
