Most don't read and go off a photo.. So my profile is ranty. Saves me repeating the same spiel

It's a bit of a loaded question "ranty or energised"

Nobody is going to say ranty.

I actually enjoy a ranty profile.

Especially if written with a little humour. You can feel the screen oozing frustration.

If you say what you don't want People will still ignore whats written and message as ‘you may make the exception for them’.

If you say what you do want folks message thinking you accept anything. Example: profile says i like scarlet, i’ll see guys who like scarlet. Guys message: i like red. I reply: i specifically like scarlet. Well its still red so you should meet me blah blah blah.

Better to block. Lifes more peaceful.

We have met a few couples with ranty profiles who were not at all ranty in the flesh.

Mines a little bit rangy laced with humour. It doesn’t make a difference though because very few pay attention to it

I have become more ranty over time as really lost patience how many clearly don’t read my profile, it drives me mad

Ranting and endless rules are definitely off putting and I’m often eye rolling at them- especially if they ask for some sort of code word in the subject box

It’s all a bit high maintenance, informative and lighthearted are winners* for me.

I’ve also blocked profiles for being SO obviously racist and homophobic, turns my stomach.

*not that I’m suggesting ours is amazing btw

Sassy

Every time I read ours I think maybe it’s a bit of a rant but I think it’s nicely interspersed with humour x

My House

We've possibly got the whiniest, most 'ranty', moany profile on fabs.. and we're proud of it. We have a very VERY long list of things we hate and a few things we are looking for. Basically, don't read it as it's not worth it.

Where ever I lay my hat

Not a great fan of aggressive profiles with a long list of hoops I might need to jump through and a threat of a block at the end. All smacks of self indulgence and not for me.

Only mildly. Most of the ranty bits seem related to specific problems you've encountered.

So probably reasonable.

Doesn’t really matter as even the genuine “energised” ones can still turn out to be nothing but trash down the line. Trash that thoroughly needs kicking to the bin.

I've tried to list what I find attractive, as opposed to a list of what I don't.

I've also tried not to sound homophobic in preferences too.

I genuinely wish I was attracted to guys. -I'd have a lot of options on here it seems if I was.

"What’s more attractive, the ranty profiles or energized profile. "

Is this a real question??

Ranting profiles get my goat...and cannot get past the first couple of lines

There are ways and means of saying what you don't want...one does not have to rant

I'm a massive geek for written word, so after a quick check of the profile pic first, tend to zip to the profile text and start digesting it.

If it's nothing but rant for the first ten to twelve lines (unless it's done in a humourous way of course) then I simply switch off and it gets chucked in the mental bin. I reason that either the owner is a miserable bugger or has had such a kicking message wise and is therefore so fed up with Fab that they'd dread any kind of contact instinctively as well as not making any effort with their public galleries anyway as they'd view it as futile.

If I find the text other than that then I may well look through the public gallery.

Not particularly keen on the real ranty ones in terms of meeting but I do find them funny to read. I agree that some could come from meets that haven’t been great, I know some of ours is.

Ours is though (I hope) balanced but I do sometimes wonder if it’s too much and consider editing it!?

Mine would be considered ranty but so are most women when they express our opinions, needs and desires so I don’t mind. It also helps sort the wheat from the chaff ...
