Is there such a thing as being too nice or polite in a message, etc?...

Do people find that off-putting?

You can't please all of the people all of the time. There's no such thing as too polite. But no one likes obsequious either. Genuine heartfelt consideration is generally appreciated.

That's about it.

I've never understood the "too nice" thing.

I think there may be an element of truth to the "too nice" thing in that "bad boys" have their own allure. Nice guys are often mistaken for being boring or wimps which isn't necessarily the case. Bonnie would have certainly picked Clyde over a younger me

People tell me that I'm 'too polite' all of the time, I just tell them to f*** off

Too nice to me sometimes seems like the guy is desperate.

We are all desperate. Some of us just manage to hide it well.

Individuals are what they are and no one can change that... Just avoid the rude and ignorant folk..

Up on them there hills

I’m (Male) like to think I’m a gentleman.

In more intimate scenes, perhaps not so.

Bad boys have no allure in my opinion. I genuinely wouldn't want to be with someone who caused me uneccesary grief.

I think women perceive "nice guys" to be more manipulative. Then when a guy tries to be a "bad boy" he usually comes across as being a bit of a dick

Shoot for being a good guy. Be polite, smile, hold good eye contact but be assertive, know what you're looking for, state your intent clearly and unapologetically
