What if someone on Fab became famous?

So you are happily swinging away on Fab or shagging your way through clubs and socials in this lifestyle.

Then you suddenly become a well known figure for whatever, an online business, some app or blog or youtubing or even landed a movie or TV stint.

What would you do about your Fab past and present?

I get that it's not mainstream but it's also not really anything subversive either. Publicity is the lifeblood aswell as the curse of fame, so better get used to it.

Next to none on here used their real names, plus with the amount of fake profiles it’s easy to just deny it was ever even you.

I’ve thought this before. Personally I’d embrace it. I’d like to think we live in a world today that people can understand the social norms of the past aren’t what they appeared and what people do in their private/sexual life as long as it’s not illegal should define them or have a negative impact on what they do outside of that.

"I seem to remember that the Ireland forum mentioned that Vogue Williams used to be on fab before she married Spencer Williams"

In my previous fab guises I’ve met 2 famous/ semi famous people. Both had no profile pics and no verifications! But both were well known household names and both were on here under aliases.

I do believe there’s a few famous people under hidden guises on here.

Fake names or real names makes no difference. If you've met, then they can identify you.

Stayed in a hotel about 25 years ago and a group of us men were drinking with a well know female TV presenter.

We'd had a few drinks and she was persuaded to go down to the pool.

She had sex with 3 of the guys while the rest of us watched them.

3 weeks later it was plastered over the News of the World because some tosser sold her out.

She disappeared for a while but occasionally appears on chat shows now.

I would hope things have changed in 25 years but I doubt it.

I wouldn’t care. I’ve been with a few “famous” people and I wouldn’t dream of selling a story. Sometimes I feel like I’m bordering on entering that world myself, and wonder should I delete this just in case? But nah I don’t give a shit.

I remember her! I even recall the news article. I know exactly who you are talking about...though cannot recall her name right now. She still appears in the odd Channel 5 programmes on TV past.

Not sure we would handle it well. We wouldn't like our familes, especially our children knowing about this side of our lives.

We would want to keep it private but would be worried that woukd be taken out of our hands.

Hopefully none of the peoole we have played with would do 'kiss n tell.

Wouldn’t you think that your kids and close friends and family would avoid reading and engaging in conversation about those kinds of things?

Really? How realistic is that with the unavoidable media bombardment these says?

Besides, it's not just about not talking about it. The fact that they know this about you could make things awkward.

If it is such a non-issue, then who do we know in the public eye who is a swinger? Other than the Krankies, who did disappear off the screens because they were no longer family friendly because of it (other than the fact they were shite, lol)

Who on here tells people about being a swinger? Probably about 5% at most. It’s not to do with it being an issue or non issue. Peoples sex lives are private for the most part. I don’t see why that would change just because you’re “famous”. Newspapers aren’t even allowed to publish anything about it unless it’s in the public interest.
