I had a 50 mile drive to meet a girl in 2012. When i got there, she just wanted a lift to a friends house a few miles back in my direction. She talked about us having a proper meet, but nothing ever came of it.

If someone doesn't just show up I wouldn't arrange to meet them again.

If they had let me know in advance even if it's only a few minutes with a credible reason I might take a view, but if they just don't show up, regardless of the reason I'm moving on .

Life happens, I get that, sometimes things don't go as planned. But if they haven't let me know I just won't have enough interest or patience to invest in in someone I've never met to give them a second chance.

I agree. One chance. If they don't show then that's it. No second chances. I've done this in the past and just wasted my time. If the person doesn't have enough self respect to tell you they can't make it, they're not for me.

I once drove to this couple house for a meet about 1 in the morning for a meet an they did open the door , waited for a hour. Felt like a lemon. When i drove off told her I have left can't keep waiting in the car. She message me saying I can't believe you left.

each time I have waited and only reason they messaged was after I'd made contact asking where they were, this time there movie said they where 60 miles away but still lied . just be honest it's that easy I feel

If its happening a lot ... you're the common denominator.. change your selection process put more checks and balances in place.
