There is only way to become obese. And that’s taking in more calories than you are using. If you don’t take in any spare your body can’t store them.

My doctor said I’m obese. 5.7” and 15 1/2 stone. Muscle is not natural and is extra weight. I’m a fat C**t now and on multiple tablets a day thanks to the gym life lol

I never touch alcohol, it ravages your body. But no one ever seems to show concern over that or the terrible damage it does in terms of health and to society. I think if there was people might be more inclined to regard this as sincere concern and not just thinly veiled fat shaming.

No, people are not jealous, they get fed up of fat shaming. People are entitled to their preferences but putting people down because of their shape is wrong. In regard to slim always being healthy it will depend on how and why the slimness is not achieved

One other point, slimness is affirmed and ratified in the media as the default position of attractiveness of women. The visual media worships slim women. The examples are everywhere, have you seen a curvy woman on a designer perfume advert, or as the love interest in a blockbuster movie, or even in a DC or Marvel movie see a super heroine that is over a size 12. Even though the average size of women in the US and UK is over a size 12.

However as individuals whether a person is slimmer or curvier male or female like to think that others find them attractive. Possibly narcissistic but very human.

This forum is one of the few places where people who like curvier women are vocal and supportive.

At the end of the day people are entitled to have their preferences and put them forward strongly. But my suggestion is that people need to be aware of the cultural and social background of their comments, and just be polite about your preferences.

Saying that overweight people are generally more likely to be unhealthy than slim people is true, it’s a fact, end of. But making that comment in this thread is pathetic, however reacting to the fact is pretty pathetic too, hence the snowflake comment
