Define “experienced”

A comment on another thread got me thinking, what do you count as “experience”? Number of partners, or how skilled a person is? Because I’ve met guys who have had sex with a lot of women, but have no idea how to actually please one. On the flip side, you could have someone who has only been with a few people, but has put effort into being good in bed. Thoughts?

Bi guys perspective here; When a lady says she's 'experienced', it's generally a sign you're in for a fun time. When a guy says he's 'experienced' that normally means he's had A experience. As in, one.

No idea if that translates to straight guys, of course, but I have my suspicions.

I think an experienced swinger has no doubts or fears and just dives straight in and enjoys the moment 100% for what it is. Inexperienced might be hesitant, worried and not confident.

I think you’re probably not far wrong!

That makes sense. In much the same way as “experienced” in a BDSM context means something different to mean than just sexually experienced.

I’m currently actively looking to contact with a couple so when I read a profile and see the statement “experienced” I take that as experienced in the lifestyle so it is a statement that gets my attention in relation to what I’m currently seeking, I don’t read experienced and think that’s them claiming to be great in bed just experienced in the lifestyle as I said.

Like most things it’ll be how we as individuals read and translate that statement. That’s my opinion anyway

Until the end of my marriage I had only been with one woman for over 20 years, and so didn't think of myself as experienced, and to be honest I thought I was a mediocre lover at best. Then I met Ms D, and we clicked sexually, and we have I feel is pretty awesome sex, and apparently I'm pretty good according to her.

Not really sure where I'm going with this now

lol like to see I'm not the only one who questions 'experienced'.

Most get intimidated by my 'experienced' so will watch with curiosity.

I think what you've hit on is 'clicking' is far more important than 'experience'.

Prior to Fab I’d only been with 4 people, and all but one were one night stands or very short term, so I considered myself pretty inexperienced. But I put a lot of effort into trying to be good in bed and please my partners. I told one guy I’d only been with 4 before Fab and he laughed at me and said he’d been with more than that by the age of 16. But he was rubbish in bed and had no idea how to please a woman. So I’ve kind of questioned “experience” ever since.

Experience in my opinion doesn't come with how many people you've had sex with.

What makes you mindblowingly good when we have sex is the effort you put in to see what works and what doesn't and your patience and not to mention you're not in it just for your own pleasure, that's what makes you damn hot between the sheets Mr B
