Adding random women or men just to chat on snap chat or social media

Question for you all need your opinion, how many of you out there are married or in a relationship, add men or women just to talk about your day os it just me or is that a tad weird as hell some random person adds you just to talk about shit my hubby thinks its exeptabal with the excuse that it's not judgemental and its totally fine with no other conversation or what ever, opinions please guys

Abit odd, usually I talk about my day to my SO but sometimes could just be random chat with people but usually I find their is an alternative motive
