Some of what you write resonates with me, however not all black people regard the term BBC as a compliment. I for one find it as offensive as the word ‘nigger’ and have said so often in this forum. The idea of being reduced to a walking talking appendage is repulsive to me but I’m not sure if I’m in the majority or minority amongst black people or white people for that matter. I hate to judge and I have no idea why any woman would wish to be regarded as the Queen of Spades with what that implies, but as someone said, to each their own.
Essentially, I suppose people accept what they are comfortable with and this is hardly the site to criticise anyone’s sexual preference, but I would support any movement that saw the term BBC relegated to the television company only, and Queen of Spades confined to a deck of playing cards." | |||
