Personally if i see dirt and mess it reflects on for me on their personal hygiene. Whether or not that is a true reflection but just naturally it just makes me think that way. Plus i think about how my pics look and take time to composite ones that look nice. Quick pics with poor backgrounds suggests lack of thought.

I dont get why people do this.

Something I learned in photography is the point of the subject is for the viewer to look at the subject and nothing more. All the crap in the background just makes the eye wander elsewhere..

Really? I don't have much money so most of my furniture is either second hand or basic Ikea. I live in a rented flat so all the walls are magnolia. I try my best to brighten the place us with nice bedding and cushions and things but it's pretty basic. I don't see that's much of a reflection on me. Was a thin path from the libingroom up to the bedroom and the bed surrounded by things in boxes and piles of clothing etc

I once met a really nice couple in a pub near their house in a very nice area. She was stunning. He was easy going. Both well dressed, smelling good, etc etc

I am very judgemental when I see an untidy environment or a bed or sofa pic with a cooker and kitchen in view. Bedsits are not a place for me to visit and high rise flats..

Stairs without carpets are a no and those people who do DIY and live in chaos for years on end.. I prefer professional people with tidy homes

I don't have carpet in the lounge or the bedroom, but I do vacuum and mop. My floor is probably cleaner than yours.

Your carpets are clean, walls painted nicely and you are nicely presented but one warning.. those carpets are very distinctive.. anyone who sees those carpets will never forget them. They are like a tattoo and could be used to identify you. The landlord might be on here. My advice.. Paint out the carpets in these pictures like some people paint out distinctive tattoos.. happy fabbing
