Off the shelf(Boots,pharmacies etc).

I can only get hold of Skyns Large,and they’re a little tight(too short and narrow).

Whilst they always stay on,they are too tight for pleasurable sex.

You download a measuring template and cross reference with their codes. There are literally hundreds of combinations. They for them online and get them a couple of days later. Then you can reorder with a couple of clicks. They also have a pretty good after sales service if you need to ask questions

I use these as well, I've always struggled with the width of "off the shelf" condoms. The risk of breaking is one thing, but the pressure they put on the base of my penis can be really uncomfortable after 30 minutes or so.

Just because they can blow up doesn’t mean that they feel comfortable, or don’t risk splitting. Standard fit have to fit smaller guys without slipping off, because no one would ever buy “small”. Once they stretch beyond their expected size they are compromising their safety, and are far blow likely to split or ride up, because they’re already ‘higher up’ than they are designed to be.

The thing is it's one thing to get a condom on (they do stretch) it's another thing to keep it on and comfortable during (vigorous) sex.

A johnny that's too tight will ride up or be too constricting, either of which is gonna kill the guys hard on or (maybe worse) break.

My opinion is that if a guy is above average size they're better off using an XL size to give them a bit more room.

Thanks guys. That’s why I asked the question in the first place. Just wanted someone else’s advice,based on their own experiences with the larger condoms.

As we’re all supposed to be sensible adults on here(and comment as such),it’s nice to see constructive reviews of various brands.

I never claimed to be hung like a horse in my topic,and I’m far from average in size. I just like to be careful and considerate on meets-safe sex always.I just don’t think the lady would be too impressed if I couldn’t maintain a hard on due to a constricting Johnny.

It took me try four different options before I found the best fit and no longer that tight cutting ring half way up your dick from standard off the shelf options.

Can’t believe you’ve left it so long to hunt for a bigger option.

As this thread demonstrates, many men actually aren't very clued up on how to find to correct size condom for themselves and what nominal is and how to calculate what nominal width they need so I personally applaud the OP for trying to find the best condom for himself.

Why does the tightness lead to less pleasurable sex? I use regular over large for the fact I like the tight fit as I think it leads to extra sensation, even though the large is easier to get on due to not having to stretch as much.

Google is renowned for reviews of products being slightly dubious.

Far more likely to have a more unbiased opinion on here,from people’s own experiences.
