I try if possible to say how nice someone looks on here,by a message if they accept them, but get very few reply's, i don't mean it should be even a message as such just a thumb up would be nice, rather than just a delete, any thoughts why ?

I have faced similar issues. I guess there are a few reasons, fake accounts, rudeness or they get that many short messages they get bored of them. There are some people that respond. I wouldn't be too worried about it mate. It's just like in real life. Some people say hello and some don't ??

Thousands of guys do send complements but lets get real its just an in to get a reply like you are seeking.

When a woman replies with a basic "thanks"

You open the doors to be pestered on average a thanks will get at least 2 follow-ups asking to meet then why not and so on.

The reality is complement senders are disingenuous and are just trying to get a conversation going by deception.

Point taken, but another view is that they fully understand that they will get nowhere but are genuine in their appreciation. Not everyone sets out to deceive people. Some of us may just be a little too honest for our own good

Many women aren't seeking random compliments or approval from guys

A month or two ago I saw a long term fwb of mine. No details but as we were kissing he said to me "God you're beautiful".

THAT is a compliment. I know W, I trust him, his opinion matters and he has no reason at all to flatter me. It made me feel amazing.

A stranger commenting on my appearance I'm afraid means nothing. For the opposite of the reasons listed above. I do realise people are trying to be nice but it really doesn't feel nice. Again... For the opposite of the reasons above. There's other ways to get someone's attention. Honestly, there are.

Perhaps its because you do not give them the same option as your photos are Friends Only. So why should they.
