Do looks play a major role?

So I've seen a few posts on here from single guys how they don't get any response and from single ladies and couples explaining they look for nice respectful people, so obviously on this site, looks and attraction play a part, but how much of a part do they play in your guys choice to chat, play and meet? As I saw a few posts that got me thinking about this as sury, there is only so much of nice and respectful without attractiveness?

For us so long as there is not a turn off physically then we can develop an attraction for a couple through conversation, equally the best looking couples can soon become unattractive to us if the chat doesn’t fit what we are looking for.

I’d say it’s almost 100% attraction for most normal folk on here. Maybe desperation for the others? Harsh, but true. I’m not meaning purely looks either. Quality of pics, profile, and use of English can all count toward attraction.

This is my exact attitude! I do get the feeling that there are way too many people that tell guys to be respectfull and nice to them in order to chat and they take it literally, just like you said, there needs to be a physical attraction or you wont be able to fully enjoy a meet

See for me, looks gets you in the door, then its up you to make a connection and make sure both parties get along, now that opens another can of worms about what those 2 parties like or dislike and to me it also opens up that the amount of guys leaves women mote choices, therefor less likely to desl with what normally would be minor things, but again, different conversation

I’m not photogenic (my other half is a photographer and he says the same - he’s pretty much given up trying to get a decent photo of me ). When I meet people they always say I look much better in real life.

That’s the thing with photos, you never really know. I’ve had messages from people and thought nah not for me, and then met them in clubs and really fancied (and played with) them.
