This one is bugging me... why do people post this on their profiles? Why aren't they just blocking them on their messaging filters? Am I missing something?

If they block single guys doesn't that mean that they cannot view the profiles of single guys also? Might be wrong

Some people don't realise there are message filters, some people enjoy being cross, some have a "why should i" attitude and some just like writing shouty stuff

Yeah the filters would block males but males can still view profile unless they specifically block the male in question. Maybe they don’t use the filters as they still welcome conversation with single males on the forum but again you can still use filters to allow some messages through. But yeah baffles me too how they put that message in the heading or in bio even when most single males don’t read that anyway..so yeah would be easier to just use the filters etc

Well no it just means they can't send the first message. Anyone can reply to what you send.

The filter stops you from seeing if any have been viewing your profile. This was a problem for us when one guy became hell bent to track us down and was checking local gardens to match to the pictures. Would rather just keep an eye who keeps viewing and can block then if they seem weird.
