The problem with all these terms is the way they're used. Respect and consent are so important and I can't help feeling that many of the times these terms are applied it's not in the way the recipient would like or choose.

Well the term is certainly flexible as I have seen women in their thirties referring to themselves as MILFs on their profiles. I think the term has become rather mashed up with other concepts like Cougar and Hotwife, and so no longer is about motherhood or being particularly middle aged.

Personally I don't have a problem with any of these terms. For me as a Mum and middle aged woman, and I must confess an incurable slutty exhibitionist, I take them in the usually positive spirit they are given.

Also, as one of the contributors indicated, young guys lack perspective on age and so don't fully appreciate that the term may not always be appropriate, even if they thought it would be taken as a compliment.

Seeing as I am very definitely growing old disgracefully, I will continue to take any such comments as a compliment, but understand other women may feel differently.
