Winks

We like to use winks as a way of showing interest. It's easier than having to ignore or reply "no thanks to someone". We like things simple.

But what we don't understand is when people who have virtually nothing on their profile, and/or pics "for friends only". What's the point? What are we going to see from that? We're definitely not going to wink back or message saying "nice cryptic profile, let's meet"!

I’ve not really used them a lot and not really had many. I think single blokes use them all the time which makes them a bit redundant but a probably a good ice breaker for couples to use.

Winks from blank profiles are annoying and pointless.

I often wonder what they think when they send the wink.

Always up for a wink. I take it as an invitation to initiate contact.

Although a message is much easier to reply to as it kickstarts the conversation.

I'll sometimes use a wink instead of a message, if it gets no reply I'm happy to leave it at that.
