So after chatting to the male of a couple, getting very close to arrange a meeting , he then tells us they would need a phone call off my wife, after explaining she is a bit reserved to go on the phone he then tells us wrong site to be reserved on . We apologise and unreservedly and explain that if you ever meet up with us as we both head to Blackpool quite a lot they will see we are genuine, we have nice verifications which show this, then he blocks us which we think was a very rude action without accepting our apology, all our meets have not required a lady phone call, we understand theres fakes but surely our profile is genuine enough .

Are we wrong to feel like they were very rude, or is it a requirement if yours,, rant over , x

Wow that's crazy, but unfortunately there is a lot of " couple " profiles that are fake and just single males, so a lot of people have lots of doubts with couples, me personally I've never ever asked for a lady phone call though , usually you can get a good idea of who's fake and who is genuine x

To be fair to the couple concerned, maybe they've been burned before where a male made the arrangements only to find the female was unwilling or reluctant come the day.

sadly the fakes on here are numerous and increasing all the time..

I have experienced on a few occasions where the woman miraculously cannot make the meet on the day..

I think its a little harsh for a straight block though, there are other ways to le out the fakes I would have thought..

The whole fake argument only really carries water if the couple isn’t verified. You have numerous recent verifications mentioning both of you as a couple. The people that verified you also have numerous legit veris...

Some people make a lot about nothing and maybe he had a bad experience but it’s the risk you take being on here. There are no guarantees either way

We never understand why someone will potentially have sex with you but they can't speak on the phone. If we meet a couple, we like a phone chat with both parties, it gives a little idea if you are all compatible. We wouldn't meet a couple without that chat and explain that to them.

I do sympathise Op, but I also don't think it was unreasonable for the other couple to want the women to speak on the phone. In our experience over the years this has been standard practice, and we probably wouldn't go ahead with a couple meet without it. Would we block? Probably not, but then we're not prolific blockers.

The blocking bit is the harsh part, I dont think it is unreasonable to have that chat first though because even with verifications, you can still get a sense of someone and the likely chemistry before meeting. See it as their loss, not yours.

Yes I'm gathering the understanding of a phone now a few people have cleared it,, but not the blocking and not accepting apology, we feel like you can still meet up and have a laugh and get to know each other even if not compatible to play a good night can still be had, we dint believe you can find if compatible with a phone call call as other person said,, but each to there own and we take all notes what people said on board , thank you x

I've been part of a couple, unfortunately my other half would arrange meets with couples, knowing its not my scene, sometimes not even inviting me to the meet OR he'd invite them to mine, without notice.

I would expect to have a conversation with the woman to make sure the meet was genuine and that the woman was enthused

OP, we certainly wouldn't think you are fake, it's quite obvious you aren't, but it's surprising what you can pick up from a phone conversation. An example for us was a couple, where we initially were talking to the lady, when I (fem) spoke to the man, he was trying to push us to play in separate rooms and became quite aggressive when we declined. That saved us a wasted journey! Works for us.

I can empathize with you op because I have real anxiety about speaking on the phone. I haven't had to do this yet but figured if it was asked I would put the phone on speaker so everyone could talk together. That way it might not seem so scary. Maybe that could be an option for you if this happens again? I agree the blocking was a bit harsh, but all you can do is learn from this experience and move on.

It's really scary isn't it. And not many people understand. I would much rather meet someone face to face for a chat than speak to them on the phone. I will literally only answer the phone to my mother, husband or the kids school. Otherwise I just stare at my phone in horror until it stops ringing!

We would block so that we knew not to contact that couple again and thus waste each other's time

Can understand the request if you had no verifications but you have

Find it an insult being asked to prove we are real with the amount of veris we have

One way to out those without verification is to arrange a meet in a cpls only club then if it’s a single male he can’t get in lol

To be fair unless we could talk to both of you on the phone we would have blocked you as well . We have been burned loads of times and like most people who have been on and off the site for years we have zero tolerance for anyone who will not either chat on phone or video chat with us .

It’s usually only the fakes or time wasters who don’t want to do that and for you to say she doesn’t like talking on the phone would have set alarm bells ringing .

So yeah we would have blocked you as well as very suspect despite the fact you have good veris .

In fairness different people do have different levels of what they’re comfortable with. We would have to speak to the lady in person, or see a quick video hello at least.

An example of why is a couple with good verifications messaged us saying just the wife wanted to meet, this then evolved into them both being present for a social for safety (completely fair), then could husband watch, then could we just meet husband so he could verify we are real and report back for a future meet with wife. Unfortunately a lot of honesty seems to have gone from here at the moment which leads to everybody being very careful.

Completely understand it. Unfortunately there are so many time wasters and fake profiles on here.

The least they could expect was a quick hello, didn't need to have phone sex !
