Try a social at a pub first. A little Dutch courage goes a long way

I just tell myself that they're probably just as nervous as I am

It would have to be a non alcoholic beverage as I’m teetotal. I couldn’t ask if people swing how does one bring the subject up lol

Looks like you already go to clubs, is that not working for you?

If they're in a swinging club, chances are they swing. Just chat to people

It`s all to do with being in an unfamiliar environment. The more times you do it, The easier it gets.

Are you getting meets and then you're to shy to actually meet them or does it go wrong ?

Fair play to you if you're getting offers of meets

Just be honest and say you're a bit shy/nervous at first

I’m great when confident but when I’m nervous I clam up and people don’t seem to want to start a convo. Decadance really helped me overcome my club virginity

So you've made a good start, not easy for single guys

It’s not. I get lots of people viewing my profile which is nice but none seem to want to chat, such a pity

It's a fact that nobody within swinging is going to approach you and encourage you out of your shell, you need to make yourself approachable. I'm far from unsympathetic to your plight, it must be really difficult to approach people if you're alone.

Someone suggested an organised social and I'd second that, especially if the hosts are good at introducing people to each other.

Good luck

I concur with nicecouple comments above .. best way to come out of your shell is by attending few socials .. swingers are like any other person you meet pubs and clubs , unless you make an effort to chat with them they not going to bother ..

We went to a social some months back and I made sure I introduced myself to everyone sitting nearby. A big smile and a deep breath helps. I chatted to a few people but it's a lot easier if your friendliness is reciprocated. I understand that nerves make it difficult but talking about the weather and how you got to the venue can help if your mind freezes up.

Theres nothing wrong with being a bit shy and nervous, just be open about it with potential meets, hopefully they should be understanding to your disposition.

Maybe have a good chat on the phone to break the ice before you meet, that may help?
