Le Boudoir Rejected Membership Club

Who else has been rejected as a member? I filled in the application for both Mr B and I online including pictures as required by them and got rejected lol. Now I’m not gonna get butthurt about it because frankly I’m not that bothered but I’ve heard of this happening to a few couples over the age of 35. Is this the issue do you think? Or perhaps we’re just not the right look for their classy establishment

We've never applied to any of these style clubs. No point because if beautiful people like you guys didn't get through we definitely wouldn't!

Theres one near ish to us and you have to be under 45 I believe. As I say we've never applied being a larger couple we'd almost definitely be rejected

We didn’t have a problem being accepted, although have heard of a few people having a problem.

Way we see it nobody has anything to prove to anybody. Enjoy your swinging!

They can have whoever they like in their club. They said no. Why cry about it?

I don't actually think anyone was butt hurt just asking a question.

We know we wouldn't meet exclusive club standards therefore we don't apply. Doesn't bother us one bit as we know we wont be for everyone

Oh darling believe me, I’m really not bothered although I do think it’s an unfair and quite judgmental process. I have enough fun without having to go there, we just happen to be staying in London next month and thought we’d have a night there. No bother, I’m happy to devour Mr B alone

I think their veting process is in bad taste and does not offer inclusion to all.

Frankly their are other clubs out there that will welcome you regardless of age, colour, size and sexual orientation.

I've not even given this club a second thought after I heard a number of people rejected for whatever reason, no need to state the obvious!

I read their FaQ and to be honest I was quite shocked. Don't allow same sex people without proof they're married (but hetro couples don't need that!). TV and TS are classed as single males unless they've had reassignment surgery. All seems very judgemental to me

They are also homo and transphobic. I guess a private club can get away with it.

I did like the idea of giving it a try, but if that is the case, I'm no longer interested.

Not that I (we) would be accepted anyway by the sound of it.

Seen your profile as you are on my nearby list.

Shocked you were rejected as you are an attractive lady and together you look like a great couple.

Would you still want to join as a couple when they rejected you as a single lady?.

. I have applied twice and been rejected twice both times a email saying currently over subscribed with single men.At first I thought it maybe my age however looking at their reviews there are a couple of guys a 2-3 years younger than me so I have decided to accept that they are over subscribed with single guys.I don’t think I will apply again I stick with OP4F just that for me it would have been nice to have a second club to go to in London that is easy and convenient for me to get to via public transport.

Wow!! Just because we don't agree with certain things we must have no standards and shag the whole site?

Yes people can run their club how they choose to!! Our local party/club only allows couples and women.

And we know we wouldn't be accepted for a selected members only club so wouldn't apply. Not sure how you get we will sleep with anyone who asks from that. Our block list is a mile long!!

Is this a proper response?

The OP is clearly asking other people’s thoughts and is not asking for such a stupid ridiculous response such as this.

It’s people like you that ought to be removed, you offer nothing to the OP or others, just have to respond with a personal jibe that quite frankly is awful. You should be ashamed of yourself, you really should. Look in the mirror and see what’s looking back at you. Does it make you proud?

Jeez!

I ought to be removed from what?

The club can choose who they let in. ALL clubs choose. If they determine the person to be d*unk or unwashed or just not the type of clientele they want in their club- such as groups of men- that is up to them.

It is well known that LB have their own rules, same as KK. People can apply but they may be turned down.

Just the same as on here. Unless of course all the whining people fuck everyone who asks.

But if they don't fuck everyone, why are they crying that someone (a club) has turned them down?

Pretty sure for BDSM clubs you need at least one referee who's a member of the clergy (not difficult, they're all into it, the dirty feckers).

It’s very sad, but the internet and all social platforms allows people to say things they wouldn’t have the guts to say in a face to face situation.

But... we laugh at their rudeness and tease them a little just for fun !

I’m kinda with Mavis on this one... it’s there club, so they can have whoever they want join ..if they choose to turn busisness down that’s their choice.

As many have previously stated, plenty other options available.

And for the record we haven’t tried joining ourselves, and reading the above it’s probably not somewhere we would choose to go anyways!

Unfortunately ‘vetting’ is just how it is these days - pubs do it, clubs have done it for years.. so what’s wrong if a swingers club only what to attract certain clientele... it’s a choice thing and prob what their members want... otherwise I guess they wouldn’t have a successful buisness?

Pubs do it all the time - well where we live - no trainers, dress codes etc... it’s all vetting

And this is why certain people like to frequent such places I guess, a certain standard which they expect

All clubs have a dress code same as some pubs but they don't refuse entry for being too fat, old or ugly. There was a thread very similar to this a few months ago and the owner of the club replied to the OP and said "your wife wasn't attractive and you were too overweight".

Don't think I'm brave enough going without someone holding my hand

The comments I read about various clubs and some experiences of those who have been there aren't helping either. Think I'll safely stick with private meets.

"

Just my opinion but I imagine because it's not very tasteful.

How would you feel if you rocked up to a pub or a club and they used the words 'You arent coming in you are too ugly/fat/etc'?

If you are happy to be told that then good for you, but I imagine itd be pretty hurtful for many people.

Having read this thread and taking into account the past issues its definitely not somewhere I'd like to attend even if I were accepted.

"All clubs have a dress code same as some pubs but they don't refuse entry for being too fat, old or ugly. There was a thread very similar to this a few months ago and the owner of the club replied to the OP and said "your wife wasn't attractive and you were too overweight".

well that just put me off even considering of visiting a club (any club)."

. I remember the thread where the couple stating the club said your wife wasn’t attractive and you were too overweight.I also remember that the pictures the couple used were a few years old which I believe the couple admitted too.At the end of the day the club have the right to who they want or don’t want but manners don’t cost anything.

"Who else has been rejected as a member? I filled in the application for both Mr B and I online including pictures as required by them and got rejected lol. Now I’m not gonna get butthurt about it because frankly I’m not that bothered but I’ve heard of this happening to a few couples over the age of 35. Is this the issue do you think? Or perhaps we’re just not the right look for their classy establishment "

What type of pics?

Think you have to be a certain age, body shape and facially attractive to them lol

I fail all three......

If I remember rightly that was in mail after the man sent many mails asking for a reason why. Assuming this is true maybe he should have taken the first mail as an answer which may have been less blunt

I was also refused membership, and I’m fine with that. I had been told beforehand they do not like ladies with curves (and my curves have cushions). Every club is different and are entitled to run it how they see fit. Maybe more should run similar, I’ve turned up at one place and there was ladies walking around in tracksuits, and men in grubby jeans and not smelling so good. I don’t see those lucky enough to have a good body moaning about BBW nights? There’s something for everyone, you just have to find it

My point is, it's the same as mailing someone on here and them saying no thank you. Then the rejected person getting all butthurt and saying "well I never wanted to fuck you anyway!"

So the people saying the club shouldn't be able to turn people away, is the same as saying people can't say "no thanks".

And if people can't say no thanks then the inference is that they should fuck anyone who asks.

It's a business. Their policies. People wanting to go there know their policies exist. They know they may be turned down- same as on here.

If the club gives a nasty reason, why are people then saying "well I wouldn't go there anyway!"

We would never apply as we aren't what they're looking for and we know that!! We aren't going to be everyone's cup of tea. Clubs can do what they want I never said otherwise.

I just don't like their attitudes towards trans people and same sex couples. Like having to prove they're married because the odd single guy might sneak in (which is what they said on their site but could just as easily happen with couples!!) Or having to prove you've had reassignment surgery to be accepted as trans (bit harsh and upsetting for a lot of people).

People can run their business how they see fit! They also cant complain if people criticise that because that's what people will do!!

To be honest clubs seem like a clique anyways no matter where you go!!

I suppose in world where Love Island is seen as acceptable television as are all those other reality programmes where participants are based on their looks, then a club like LeBoudiour would exist.

In the year 2019 it is sad that people can defend a business that judges it clientele on looks. Yes there are clubs catering for specific preferences, but the big difference is that you don't get turned away from those clubs for not being in that category.

In terms of personal preference all reasonable people accept that we fall for what attracts us. That is acceptable for individuals but not for businesses, otherwise you go down the "no blacks, no Irish and no dogs" signs (no pun).

The other point made is that people are free to associate with who they like. Firstly (within certain legalities) that is the way of the world, secondly if you look at verifications it is clear on Fab that certain people only mix with who they perceive as being their own attractiveness anyway. Those who perceive themselves as good looking certainly do. As individuals it is their choice, but it is poor that a business works on that basis.

My upbringing was character counted rather than inherited money or genetic good looks. But the world of today has turned that upside down with a government full of Etonians and people like Kim Kardashian (who came to fame through Ray-J's sextape) making a fortune, so unfortunately LeBoudiour will thrive.

I think the issue is they are not clear about their criteria so it ends in speculation. Other clubs that are selective don't have this issue as they are very clear what they are looking for.

Please tell me when this golden age was when people didn’t choose a casual screw on the basis of physical attraction? This is a swinging site, swinging clubs are for swinging. They are not the first place you consider when looking for a life partner. By now people know that LB selects and that you may get turned down. Arbitrarily? Possibly, but don’t whinge it’s you’re turned down and certainly don’t claim that you wouldn’t want to go anyway, you would have done which is why you applied. Move on

Err, I have never applied to LB, and so I have never been turned down.

It is a business and in the same way I don't buy the Sun I can still critical of its managements business ethics. In my books LB's criteria is unacceptable.

Secondly if you read my comments I stated:

"In terms of personal preference all reasonable people accept that we fall for what attracts us."

and

"The other point made is that people are free to associate with who they like. Firstly (within certain legalities) that is the way of the world, secondly if you look at verifications it is clear on Fab that certain people only mix with who they perceive as being their own attractiveness anyway."

Wow lol I really started a debate here huh! Look at the end of the day I understand that each club has their own rules and they are absolutely entitled to accept who they like. I really don’t care that I can’t go to this club, we’re not even local. It was to be a one off because Mr B and I are visiting London for a couple of days next month lol. We regularly visit angels and enjoy it very much and have plans to visit chams and Xstaia in the future.

The point is that it’s quite shocking that if you don’t fit into someone else’s ideal you can be rejected based on a photograph. We all know that sometimes there can be a huge difference between what the pic shows and what reality is. I’m a fucking awesome bird I’ll have you know! Ok I May have a few piercings and a shit load of tattoos but I’m still amazing in bed and a generally cool person (if I do say so myself lol) and Mr B is an absolute stud as far as I’m concerned so to be rejected by narrow minded idiots it’s really not that big of a problem for us

“We run exclusive parties in a discreet South London location for select larger ladies and their genuine admirers. By larger ladies we mean true BBW over a size 18 ONLY!”

All sorts of criteria at clubs and parties. This lifestyle is where you can explore particular fantasies, or not depending on what floats your boat. You just need to move on and not whine if you are not accepted. I’ve been rejected many a time (too short, too old, too bald Even too young, although that was some time ago!)

Well that was a fun thread, bit on the fence with this one, on the one hand it’s up to the owners who they let into a PRIVATE members club, just as we wouldn’t be allowed into a under 40’s night or a bi Male night or a gay club or at least not particularly welcome.

On the other hand arbitrarily judged someone just by a photo is not great......oh wait isn’t that what the majority of people do on fab!!! So suck it up

On a side note seem to be a fair few rejected for membership who live some distance away, maybe that is part of the criteria they use

I don't really give a flying monkeys who LB invite to be members. I am sure they have their reasons and I am not sure many clubs are that inclusive. To have seperate nights for LGBT, BBW and BMFC hardly reeks of inclusivity. It reeks of, we only really want TVs or fatties once a month. It is not inclusive to charge single guys more money or limit their numbers.

I respect LB to be allowed to follow their conscience..

To be fair, they set out their stall. If your old or a male or female Shrek your not getting in. That will make it incredibly exclusive to the jet set professional couples who want something more exclusive... It offers something that most competitors don't and no shortage of exclusive couples in the capital..

Although I've been there many times alone and with my ex the impression I have is they are trying to squeeze every penny you've got.

And I have seen people that can be easily considered as of low hygiene, looks and attitude

"To be fair, they set out their stall. If your old or a male or female Shrek your not getting in. That will make it incredibly exclusive to the jet set professional couples who want something more exclusive... It offers something that most competitors don't and no shortage of exclusive couples in the capital.. "

And the jet-set professional cabin crew with long legs.

The problem is, are they "exclusive" enough themselves to decide who is "exclusive"?

So, to be clear no one is bothered that they got rejected from a club they applied to?

Ive been to a few, this is the best by far, It could have twice the number of guys on a Friday but it keeps numbers down.

Looks like everyone has found an environment they are happy too swim in - a win/win I’d say. Long may the LB nights continue, if i ever fancy a game of table football or catch up on Emmerdale Farm then i could always head out west.

"How do people cope when someone on here turns them down? "

In the same way people who turn me down react...move to the next one

But lately I find it is a lot of work to make a connection with someone here. It s like the cold call business: you make 10 calls, you get interest from 2 and have a deal with 0.5

That's the reality of the matter for single males here and in the swinging world in general

People of all shapes, sizes, sexual orientation, colour, disabilities are allowed into most clubs so don't believe everything you read. Clubs are really nice places to meet new people so go and judge for yourself.x

Members or potential members will vote with their feet.

I like men only golf clubs. I just wish those who moan would set up their own....

What?! BBW nights and BMFC do not discriminate! Inform yourself before talking. "

We have seen on another website, a single white male refused to be put on the guest list for a bmfc night. He was a moderator on the other site and had used his personal log in to ask to go on the list. That seemed very discriminating. They said no one there would play with him. Again, not their place to say whether anyone there would have. As it happened he knew several people on the list and only wanted to attend socially to catch up. You may not be on the other site, or aware of what happened but consider yourself “informed”

They would never say that. They must have said what they say on their website - that the women are unlikely to be interested or words to that effect, which are the honest truth.

As someone who has been going to BMFC and other similar events for years, I am well informed. I also know the much less popular events that do discriminate and that I do not set foot in. They will follow in the footsteps of other similar ones that did not pass the test of time.

The have and they did. You may think you are well informed, but I know this for a fact happened. It is not for anyone to decide who plays with who, there may have been less interest but, who are the event organisers to suggest who may or may not be played with. This was easily five years ago, but it happened. Imagine what would happen if it was suggested to a none white person that if they attended on a club night that was a standard night, that the women there would not be interested because it wasn’t a bmfc night! The person in question was apologised to and he withdrew his request to attend and went to the other local club on the event night. I from memory believe the wording of the forum event post was changed and their website. I haven’t seen or heard of it happening since, and I am not suggesting it is a regular occurrence, just saying it definitely happened once and was very off putting.

Things may well have changed in the time since then and these nights are more open. But you can’t tell people to inform themselves and not have the full facts, as no matter how many years you have been to these sort of events, you can’t attend every single one. You may well have missed the one where that happened. Even the biggest expert on any subject in the world can get things wrong or miss things.

The better way of wording your post would have been that bbw and bbc nights are far more open and welcoming. Having been to BBW nights there are indeed people of all races, religions, sexualities and sizes, in attendance and all seemed welcomed. Although now I have said this there is bound to be someone pipe up and say that they were refused to attend

"Can I sue this club ?

If I’m rejected for membership..."

If you thought you were rejected from membership of a private club on the basis of race, gender, sexual orientation or some other protected characteristic under equality law you could, in theory, try to bring a case against the club, but then you'd have to prove it. In short, don't bother.

. If you can travel or willing to travel then I take your word that there are better places to go and looking at the club reviews pages that are plenty of clubs outside London that have lots of fabulous reviews there is no reason to doubt your word. The flip side for some of us in London or can’t travel or not willing to travel is we have Le Boudior and OP4F which are members only clubs so you have to apply and be accepted and Rios which for a single guy can be hit and miss.At first I was disappointed that I was rejected as I prefer local but I have accepted it and now attend OP4F and Rios which are easy for me to get to.

Because I wanted to go to the club. I’ve never had to send a picture for a membership before anywhere and if that’s how they judge who can and can’t be allowed in then it’s an unfair process. We’re all a little bit fickle and self absorbed or we wouldn’t be on a site like fab in the first place. Swinging is like a frivolous activity and so when you hear of an amazing club that’s classy and exciting you apply despite knowing that it’s a gamble because let’s face it, you want to be one of the chosen ones.

I gambled and failed. Never mind I’ll move on the next club lol. Xtasia and chams are our next adventures I think.

"Wow. Shocking. Both several comments and the vetting in my opinion.

Judgemental. Exactly the quality I teach my daughter NOT to be

Never known a pub to do it.

Regardless though it IS judgemental whoever does it and I'd purposely stay away. Not a very redeeming quality

Pubs do it all the time - well where we live - no trainers, dress codes etc... it’s all vetting

And this is why certain people like to frequent such places I guess, a certain standard which they expect

Whether it be right or wrong, just how it is

All clubs have a dress code same as some pubs but they don't refuse entry for being too fat, old or ugly. There was a thread very similar to this a few months ago and the owner of the club replied to the OP and said "your wife wasn't attractive and you were too overweight".

I remember that thread and the owners attitude was pretty vile. The regulars defending his comments rather than letting him get on with it didn't come across too great either.

It was that thread rather than the policy that put me off the club even though I have a number of friends who rate it"

Exactly my thought too. I was surprisingly accepted just over three years ago and went one night soon after. Had a great time, I must admit, but didn't go again (nothing to do with the club) until after my membership had expired.

I was seriously contemplating renewing it (or whatever the process is) and then saw that thread. Despite having no major problem with them choosing who they want, I totally agree that the attitude of the owner was appalling and decided not to bother. I suspect I wouldn't have 'made the cut' this time anyway.

"Wow. Shocking. Both several comments and the vetting in my opinion.

Judgemental. Exactly the quality I teach my daughter NOT to be

Never known a pub to do it.

Regardless though it IS judgemental whoever does it and I'd purposely stay away. Not a very redeeming quality

Pubs do it all the time - well where we live - no trainers, dress codes etc... it’s all vetting

And this is why certain people like to frequent such places I guess, a certain standard which they expect

Whether it be right or wrong, just how it is

All clubs have a dress code same as some pubs but they don't refuse entry for being too fat, old or ugly. There was a thread very similar to this a few months ago and the owner of the club replied to the OP and said "your wife wasn't attractive and you were too overweight".

. I remember the thread the owners and some of the regulars did not come across very well.I also remember the OP kept on pushing for a answer when perhaps it would have been best to have left alone after all if we get rejected most of us just accept it and move on.I have applied twice and been rejected twice so I don’t think I will apply again.Perhaps you should apply and if you make the cut as you put it start a thread saying that there is still hope for the older generation at Le Boudior

Haha, I might just do that. I'd have zero emotional issue being rejected so have nothing to lose. If the owner were to see this, though, I suspect what little chance I had would vanish very quickly

. Looking at the club reviews for the last 2 months there are a two from single guys 45 - 50 one off who is a regular by the look of his reviews as well as couple which perhaps will give some the confidence to apply and hopefully be accepted.

Trying to be careful how I 'tread' here, but I don't think it's just about age. Anyway, we'll see.

Funny - I find sexy is an attitude not a look. I’d much prefer a club with fun average looking people than a club full of beautiful but dull people.

If that's how you feel about them, why did you go? Or did you only start calling them names when they'd turned you down?

I do apologise for my breathtaking stupidity. You called them vacuous empty intellectually bereft food fighting posh morons. The people you meet are very lucky to have such compliments thrown their way.

What were you expecting though? Your comments are quite venomous and while they are clearly extreme to make your point KK does have a reputation for attracting a certain stereotype of clientele

"I read their FaQ and to be honest I was quite shocked. Don't allow same sex people without proof they're married (but hetro couples don't need that!). TV and TS are classed as single males unless they've had reassignment surgery. All seems very judgemental to me"

Omg who the hell wants to be a member with such awful rules as that urghhh
