Status updates, good or bad?

Status updates, you are free to write whatever you want, washing the car, looking for a meet, going for a pint or whatever.... All pretty straightforward.

I'm not quite sure how to take some though. For example,

"Had the fuck of my life last night, thank you Mr. X" (or something similar.)

Are they so happy that they need to share it with everyone?

Are they bragging? or attention seeking?

Will they appear more attractive by putting such a status?

How would a status like this effect your view of someone?

Would you be more likely to look at their profile and maybe send a message?

Or, does it have a negative effect and turn you off even having a look?

If you're gonna do it, be random I reckon, and witty of poss, and do it sparingly.

If you suspect it sounds bland/boring, or braggy, then it probbers is, so bin it.

Na, not at all. Everyone is entitled to use it as they wish.

Personally, I don't feel the need to post an update when I have met someone.

Na, not at all. Everyone is entitled to use it as they wish.

Personally, I don't feel the need to post an update when I have met someone.

But for some of us perverts, a particularly good meet is worth sharing because we know friends will be happy for us.

I used to do funny ones but seem to have lost my mojo about that. It was nice knowing I’d made friends laugh though.

Love when you see other guys whining about how hard it is to meet women on here, like whining is going to help their cause.

Hate the got sniff can accommodate statuses. It's basically offering goods for sex!!

Yeah, the whining is going to turn anyone off.

The positive and funny updates are likely to work better.

I usually put an update on if I'm going somewhere, a club or dogging spot hoping others might join. Or if I've had a partically good /fun sex the day before I like to shout it out for some reason.

I never moan or be negative on an update though.

I'm with ya, if I see those updates I tend to think "aye right". But I've had a couple of them written about me

Status updates can really put me off someone, which is hypocritical really as I post loads of them
