Hi guys I'm looking to go to my first swinging club. I've never been before but always wanted to go. It's just the nerves of going on my own stop me. How was everyone's first experience and is it best I not go alone ?

My advice is go and mingle in a bar area ..

Respect people’s privacy and don’t walk around wanking under your towel lol

Some guys are embarrassingly desperate..

Go with a lady friend if you can and you’ll find people will chat more ..

For a first time I’d suggest the townhouse, very nice bar area and the friendliest club around here

My first visit as a single guy was a huge disappointment; it felt like a Sunday afternoon in a working men's club, rather than how I imagined a Friday night in a swingers' club might be. And therein lies the problem; you won't know what these places are like unless you go. Cut through the hype and marketing which goes on in these forums daily, and choose carefully which clubs you visit, and more importantly, when. Read through the reviews listed in here, and look for reviews left by other single guys, because if they enjoyed their visit, the chances are you will too. Avoid the clubs which sting you for membership up front, try a couple where you can just visit on a 'day pass', so you can go along and get a feel for the scene.

Never expect sex.

especially by people trying to be in the cliques..

Are they over hyped? I suppose it depends on people’s expectations and experiences. Personally we went as a couple and we were sick with nerves but once inside and sat in the bar area in our underwear chatting with other people you wondered why you had gotten so worried about going.

It’s definitely better to go in as a couple, or arrange to meet others inside

Go with no expectations. I find them just like pubs, with a lot less clothing!

I have made many friends from attending clubs, hosting club events, and respecting some ladies choice of a club meet only.

I visited alone 3 weeks ago and so glad I did. Having just gained some confidence after suffering serious self esteem and confidence issues my whole life I went in guns blazing and started chatting away to anybody and everybody. Made some friends got a verification and had some fun in the jacuzzi. I know it's not for everyone but give it ago. You won't know until you try. Good luck.

Find a club near you or within reasonable travel distance.

Read the reviews

I went as a single guy for the first time and throughly enjoys every minute of it.

Don't go with massive expectations that your gonna get sex, because if you do go with that attitude and get nothing you'll feel like you wasted time and money.

Treat the venue and the patrons with respect.

Enjoy your self and give it a go.

You'll get many posts from many single guys voting for either side be it they had a fab time to it wasnt worth going because I didn't get noticed or any fun.

Hope you do take the plunge into club life even if its just for the experience.
