that the porn industry and the lack of condom use is promoting the rise of stis in youngsters because they see porn style sex as how it should be done? would you find the sight of people using condoms for sex in porn offputting??

Porn with condoms is out there.. but its lame... And actually I believe the biggest rise was in the over 40s according to something I was reading the other day...

I think most youngsters are just out having fun.. and drink plays a bigger part of it than porn.

I got told that at the sti clinic last screening. I suppose when I was having sex when I was 20 before getting wrapped up in a relationship there was nothing exciting doing the rounds (apart from warts) then AIDS started. But it was never something that came near the little town in Wales I was from.

In the Porn industry any actors have to be certificated stating that they are STI free. They normally go for a screening prior to any filming taking place so that it is an up to date certification, hence the lack of condoms being seen. Although it would not be an issue and would probably be a sensible thing to be seen promoting the use of safe sex, but the porn industry is a multi million pound organisation and like any business they don't really want to rock the boat. The reasoning behind the certification process was as a response to the infection of a number of actors/actresses of HIV a fair few years ago pre - certification days and this brought about the screening etc...

It's not off-putting if it's done quickly! If they're stood there fumbling about trying to open the packet, then working out which way is the right way then it might affect the 'storyline'! Porn doesn't reflect real life...just like action films don't...maybe we should teach the youth of today that too!!

well this is it, young people think porn is how sex should be done. did anyone see that porn vs sex education programme. it was scary, everyone shaving, thinking they need huge tits/cocks and that they should fuck like porn stars. there was a statistic I think that said the average age for kids to start watching porn is 8 or something insane like that!!

Well my kids younger than 15 haven't seen any yet.. so I must be doing well.

I'd not bother watching porn if they put condoms on... Spoils it totally... But as I like cream pie porn it would make it pointless.

but is that the fault of porn or poor sex education? and as for seeing porn at such a young age...where are the parents?!

i think the main reason most teens dont use condoms is simply because they are to embarrassed to ask for them, now many 16 year old would walk into a shop and buy then? my daughter goes to the flamily planning for her depo and even tho its a family planning she still wont ask for condoms as she says its embarrassing, go figure that one lol, i have a 18 and a 20 year old i buy condoms for as they wont go and ask for them themselves and im sure there are thousands more out there who feel the same
