Give me your phone number!

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

When someone you have only exchanged one or two very short messages with says "Give me your phone number and I'll send you a face pic"... would you?

If someone with no pics on their profile said they ONLY show their pic via a phone, would you give them your number?

If they told you to respect their choice to only send pics by phone and then told you it's your fault and such a shame you won't give them a chance... when you say your choice is not to give out your number to a complete stranger... would you tell them to take a hike?

Definitely not - we only give our number to people that we've arranged to meet so we can keep in touch and let each other know if running late etc - if they can't attach a face pic from this site then I'd say they were dodgy!

No way! If they have a mobile phone with a camera they also have a USB cable to tranfer the image to the laptop/PC... simples

I find it rather pushy when people want personal information so early & find a lot of men (generalisation I know, but it is only ever men I have had this problem with) get rather huffy when you wont just hand over your number straight away.

If thats the case the conversation wont go any further.

Totally agree with the above, have had the same problem, will not give out my number till I am pretty sure I intend meeting.

If they can't get a picture onto the computer then they are stuffed .................. stick to your guns xx xx

I don't think I would as its not hard to put pics on profiles is it?

But as most phones have block facilities its not gonna cause too much hassle if they start to become a pain in the arse

Nope we never give any number out unless we have all seen each other on cam and are about to meet.

Yes we would say take a hike.

If they can't get a pic on the profile it isn't our fault

Nope definitely not. I have had so many mesages that say, I can't post photos on here but will send you one via phone or email.. even though my profile clearly says, no photo no response! I also only give out numbers when I have arranged a meet just in case people get lost, are a bit late etc..

Simplest idea is to keep an old phone, everybody has one lying around right? witha pay as you go sim card, just for contacts.

Then its easy to just cut up the sim card and buy another if calls become abusive. Never ever give out your main phone number unless you really know the person/s well
