No although I do have my bits waxed.

More about some delicious controlled pain / heat sensations over my body

Have tried it and it's lovely

Lovehoney sell the proper candles or there are sites that specialise in the ones you need

Soy candles are good for starting with,

I would suggest NOT to buy from eBay, as you don't truly know what you will get.

Any recommended sites in addition to Lovehoney?

Have you used any other sites?

Good to hear that you enjoyed the experience. My other half isn't really wanting to do it to me so need to find someone who's happy to help me out

I've done wax play, it's wonderful, but makes a bloody mess getting it all off afterwards

What would you suggest - laying on a sheet? I've got some tarpaulin

Bondageman (trades online and at the BBB/LAM) does excellent candles, and sheets!

My recommendations:

Start with a coconut or similar oil massage

Use a blindfold/hood to reinforce the tactile sensations

Take the wax off with a good knife

Take your time with all the above

Loving the blindfold suggestion . . .I suspect that will enhance the anticipation of where the wax will land - shivering with the excitement already!

Yep as the couple hinted at above in the post about bondageman, a big sheet should do the trick! Otherwise you'll still be finding little bits of wax 5 months later

Also the closer the candle is to the skin the higher the intensity. Let the candle drip from a good height until you find your levels. And obviously not on sensitive areas of skin until more practiced.

Love wax play, especially when blindfolded but agree with other posters to use Special ones and not tealights - have fun!
