Increase in fake profiles??

Is it just us or is there an increase in the amount of fake couples profiles?

I have lost count of the number of times (these usually unverified people) message us trying to start conversations but the lady is always busy? Strangely though the male half is always free to chat and meet! Wierd that

Had another today, delete. Block.

Very frustrating waste of time. Who do they think they are trying to kid!!

Why can’t folk just be honest?

Surely they would stand more chance of getting a meet if they were honest though rather than pretending to be one half of a couple?

The first thing we do is ask for a FF chat - it’s never been an issue for the genuine people out there!

Do these fakers really think we believe the tales of the permanently busy other half who is always unavailable, who is always unable to meet for whatever reason stories we have heard a thousand times before!!!

The one we had today was most interesting....

Apparently the lady was unavailable to chat due to usual excuses and that he sorts all the meets out for them (unverified of course) ....

but then she updated the profile to say she’s looking for a couple for her ‘man’ to join etc... signed love ‘S’ xx

Strange considering 2 minutes earlier she was busy and doesn’t use fab

I am sure plenty arent fake though. People have to start somewhere and the man is 50% of the couple so is fully entitled to be online while partner is not at home.

I speak to these people but make no promises until I get proof and a lot of the time even if I dont meet them they turn out to be genuine.

We've found quite an increase of views by very empty profiles ie: no pics or just 1, no veri's, very little if anything in their description but looking for everyone & into everything! Annoying but could be genuine. We suggest to them they get photo verified & that usually ends with them vanishing & we don't hear from them again x

I don’t think it’s paying will cut it out

People need to know who there talking to - come on how long would it take for a man to open up an acc on fab pretending to be a female or cpl ——-NOT LONG

I am not saying not letting them join and even if there not photo verified respect them to just looking but restrict mailing / winking / fabbing g etc.

I think if people are genuine let them take the time to get photo verified

Search engine- look for reverse image search sites, there are free ones, upload your screen shot and Bob's your uncle (or not!! Hehehe)

I have a theory which does fit, when Craigslist closed personal section KIK was overrun with fakes of both genders, now KIK is closing I suspect a lot are finding a way into fab, ergo I guess we need to be vigilant.

The site was better 6 years ago when peak membership was 5000

There is. The owner of the profile should contact Admin who will do it for them.

Lot of guys set up profiles couple profiles so they can message and send FR to bypass filters. Others drag their partners into it only to find they don't like it and decide it's not for them but the guys hold on to the couples profiles cos they think use it to get to see private pics and meets.

Most couple profiles are written by guys.

This is nothing new people will try and say anything if they think it will get them through the door

Fake profiles have been going on even before in contact mags. Goes with the territory nothing new about it

33K people on this site approx and by those maths there are only 330 genuine profiles

We probably will not renew our membership, this site is rife with fakes and timewasters. It's about time new members have to produce passport or driving licence details, it's becoming unmanageable even with filter settings up at max.

While there's undoubtedly a shed load of fakes, I deleted my male profile because, although I had pics, it was still, while not impossible, extremely difficult to get verified. No pics attached, especially in a pvt message, is a give away but I don't think lack of veris is. In my case it was not from the lack of trying.

We’re finding it has gradually gone downhill on many fronts unfortunately but definitely with regards to fake profiles. Also seeing a big increase in drugs being offered and Chen party invites (had to google this). Not our scene and each to their own but it is turning into the Jeremy Kyle show lately. We keep in touch with a select few diamonds here and will make cameos at parties and are open to invites but the novelty of fab is wearing off unfortunately x L&C

As someone who's subscription ends tomorrow and has no intention of renewing I don't agree. I paid for the extras you get with a subscription, not to be taken more seriously, but after 6 months don't think it's worth it.

I have a thing about paying for something I don't use or need (like TV licence) and thought long and hard about paying for subscription here. To be honest if I'm going to pay for sex I'll use an escort.

Clearly read our profile!

We don't do any of that. Not even bothering to reply to that one.

We out meets up reg, makes us look like we're always at it. Although die to time wasters, and fakes we get little to no play. So frustrating when we're real swingers who do meet and do swap.

Peculiar things occurring... I’m seen a number of new single women profiles pop up all in the same area within an hour or so... none with profile pics and only have a brief profile. Clearly fake.

Fab clearly not making efforts to out the fakes.
