I don't use it but as long as some people do, I think it should stay

I don't mind it, but it makes me feel a bit lazy afterwards.

It's good if someone is shy and feels awkward in starting chat its useful then.

I see them as exactly that ..a wink. A gentle hiya, an ice breaker etc.

They are great would rather have a wink than a hows u message as they are easier to ignore or delete.

We look at ppl that wink and see if we have an attraction.

Mostly single men and we're not looking for them.

They have a bad rep on here for some reason. But if you ask me it's a good tool.. You wink, they wink back, you send a message. Perhaps the site should make it so we are unable to message unless there's a mutual wink.

It's a good thing if used appropriately.

A mutual wink often leads to a conversation.

Which could lead to a lot more.

I quite like them, I use them as an ice breaker, if someone winks back I take that as a green light to message.

It would be more fun if we are unable to massage unless there's a mutual wank.

Good for guys. Bad for girls. I mean let’s face it. Girls get messages and winks by the dozen ( at lest my wife does ) therefore they don’t really respond to them. Where as the numbers are lower for dudes. So a gentle wink from a woman is very inviting.

"A lot of ‘straight’ men seem to use it I find"

I never wink first. Very lazy for a single guy not to be able to send a message. But I do like getting them, even from guys (which I ignore without getting offended) and a recent one did lead to a very delicious meet.

I don’t understand why people get so triggered by them. It’s a wink for heavens sake! An ice breaker to see if there’s a mutual attraction.

What I don’t understand is when someone winks, you return the wink to show you like what you see and ......nothing! If someone returns our wink we will always follow it up with a message.

my own little sanctuary

I love the feature, I know most women and couples don’t check theirs but a fair few utilise the feature when searching. From my perspective their interest prompts a response from me... this means they’re familiar with my profile and like the look of it and my message will be read and their decision will come from the contents of it. No time wasted on anyone’s end and no hurt feelings. Win win

I've genuinely lost count the amount of winks I have. I could be missing out on someone spectacular for all i know.
