Messages disappeared

I’m curious

Was chatting to someone I strongly suspected was a fake profile, gave them the benefit of the doubt

Now their messages have vanished from my inbox and sent box. Have they been removed from the site or have I simply been blocked?

Same happened to us. I was told they may have been fake and kicked off the site
