I have been extremly fortunate to meet some fantastic people on here, however I have noticed recently that the standard and number of single women on the site is falling . This doesn't seem to apply to couples , is this site more suitable for couples? And is the quality of single men also getting worse?

nah, we didnt notice any change in single female or cpls...but do notice number of fakers have increased a lot...

even, yesterday we got a email from a guy with face pictures of a famous punjabi bhangra singer, claiming as his pictures.... its like someone using justin timberlake's pictures ..all i would say to that idiot is, if you want to fake, atleast have the inteligence not to use any famous ones...

all i know is the site has changed a lot over the years, i joined as a single man in 06 when it started, now as a couple, it's harder to find meets now than a few years ago, people do change

Well I guess the answer, in part, is yes.

If you've noticed a drop in the number of people who meet your standards, then standards have dropped.

Not everyone has the same ideals though, so it's difficult to measure and judge a whole websites standards.

Yes, there has been a drop in standards! I mean, to me it looks like people can't even read now a days! Let alone have the basic skills of a being able to hold a conversation (yes, intellect is quite high on my requirements) the amount of messages I receive asking for a meet today....sheesh!!!!!

Ok heres what we see. This is a swinging site and not a dating site so yes there will be more couples here, even singles who found that special someone. When we joined this site 2 years ago we had our impression of what we was looking for, over the two years things have changed. So take from that what you will and maybe if us sexy peeps here a fabs anit good enough for you then jog on......lol..... I think eharmony maybe more for you...

This has got to be one of the most creative ways to insult an entire gender on a website I have seen!

To write that the women that are left on the site (after an apparent mass exodus of gorgeous, super intelligent women with amazing personalities) are now ugly, stupid and with a lack of personality is..erm...possibly not the brightest thing to put (IMHO) I have to say...unless you genuinely believe that of course in which case you would presumedly not wish to avail yourself of their allegedly dubious charms in any event?

I haven't noticed any deterioration of standards in people to be perfectly honest

All this guy is saying really is he is finding it harder to find women he is attracted to against his criteria... and he's right about a lot more of the women on here being sarcey... fuck it, I'll go one step further......... a lot of the women on cam in the chatrooms would turn milk if they pointed the camera 10 inches higher than their tits, yet they expect to be treated like the golden goose whilst talking down to any poor sap who doesn't say the right thing.

I fuckin hate the chat rooms for that very reason. The few times I been in directing rooms in chat I have talked about everything else but there bodies etc. Have asked many a question regards the wall paper and are there any dirty pots in that kitchen sink etc etc. Dont half fuckin wind them up ill tell ya haha

This is our second time on fab , and we have been here fir about 15 months - we totally agree that he has the right to have his opinion - and think he just wanted to see if anyone else agreed with him .

Like most things that get a little stale after a time , perhaps his view is that the women he checks out may not be up to the standard he felt they were when it was all exciting and fresh ?

The fact that they are just as vivacious and desirable to most of us doesn't mean they are to him and that's his opinion - perhaps a break may be in order ?

You say you judge the standard of people for your benefit. This is my take on your original post. So here goes. Standards or preferences as I prefercto call them do change in time. We have used sites for 5 years. I may also had I don't judge anyone people on looks alone. Their are many shallow people on these sites again this is not the majority.so you may need to re evaluate what you are looking for on this site. Happy swinging

me too, i openly admit when it comes to sex on here i go for looks first, but that does not mean i feel the need to moan if i havnt found anyone i likes for a few weeks

There have been lots of posts on threads in the past where women have said that one of the best things about Fab and the swinging scene is that they get approached by guys who possibly wouldn't look twice at them in the 'real' world. That suggests that a fair few guys drop their standards on Fab (whether they admit it or not).

Maybe they drop their standards because they get caught up in the whole idea and fantasy of easy swinging sex.

I would imagine that once they've been on here a while and that initial buzz of excitement has past or been satisfied, their true standards return, a little bit like beer goggles.

I don't believe the actual standard on here ever really changes, but maybe some peoples perception of it does depending how horny and new to it all they are.

A lot of couples are on here for other reasons.... the main explanation for the ops feeling IMO is that when you are new you are bombarded with choice in your area however once you meet or discount a lot (bearing in mind that surely most attractive women have no prob finding men for sex and aren't on sites) the pool of available women is logically going to lessen to a trickle of new members. Of these many won't be what the op is looking for either...

I do agree with this. I have said a similar thing really. I have played with absolutely gorgeous men, male model types, in the blackman fan club parties I've attended.

Whilst I do believe they wouldn't look at me in the real world, I don't ever think its because I'm below their standards. I wouldn't look at them either. I'm too old for them, they're too young for me and I believe that my OH knocks spots off them in the sexiness department.

i have to say that i dont find the site more suited to couples, being someone who has swung with my ex husband and as a single since we split i can honestly say the site suits me much better as a single female that it did as a couple

You cant brand everyone the same, you use the site to your own advantage and get out of it what your looking for, ive never had any problems finding people to meet and i find it MUCH easier getting meets as a single female than i did as a couple nor have i ever had to settle for someone i didnt really like

I don't think that is a fair comparison. As has been said by many on other threads, you could have two heads and the body of Jabba the Hut and still get a meet as a single fem! This site is gradually but surely becoming a singles dating site and that is very sad. Of course it is allowed, but then the more members, the better the advert revenue!

This is supposed to be a swingers site and that means to us, couples! Yeah, I know all you singles bleat on about “but it has changed now” but that is only really true on free sites. We are members of pay sites and we certainly don’t get the saturation of singles that we do on Fab.. Fab is still a good site, but one day it will evolve a bit too far..

My comments were general as was the op. I can only speak from my view point and enjoy fab as part of a couple. Would I be on here as a single... No it wouldn't even have occured to me. Whilst we have discussed the excitement of meeting and playing with a guy on a normal night out I find the senario worrying. We like to have.a social and take our time getting it right. One thing for singles to hook up whilst one of them is in a group of mates, another entirely to be poss discussed and identified as swingers. We have family etc in the town and think the risk isn't one we are willing to take. Some single women on here do talk about meeting guys who wouldn't look twice at them in the vanilla world and I agreed with another poster who mentioned this. Everyone has a different view point of course which is why the forums are interesting to read. I'm not offended if someones view and circumstances differ from mine... Surely that's the point. I think my main point about the choice lessening due to already meeting or eliminating those available is accurate prob but interestingly it was ignored in favour of people looking to be offended when this was not the intention. However, that is their right I guess. Plenty of guys we have met leave due to lack of choice even though they want to continue to meet us (and maybe others they know?) So I'm guessing they would agree with op. We don't meet single fems so can't say...

The only qualification I would make is that at least when we meet couples, I don't have to either take a back seat or find space! That said, sometimes that is all I want to do..

Another point from a good friend of mine who swings with his wife.. He says most single guys are just a dildo with a pulse! Couples, he says and a social gathering who can chat amongst themselves and no one is left out! Guys tend to chat about guy stuff and the lady gets to make the tea... Actually, I think that is a plus point!

I dont believe I am a swinger. I was initially here to experiment etc and no I wasnt after a quick shag.

Being a single on here has made me realise some couples do have 'standards' but others dont.

All I am saying if you think this site is for JUST couples then remove singles from your profile.

If you are after JUST couples fairy snuff, but why go on about singles not being swingers when there are loads looking for that so-called 'elusive bi fem' and why there is a single option on profiles???

Speak to admin if you dont like singles 'invading' your turf.

We'd describe ourselves as traditional swingers, in as much as we only meet couples.

We had a brief.....very brief.....spell of singles meets with both sexes but soon realised the error of our ways.

As most of us are aware, swinging as its known today, was originally called 'wife swapping' or to be more P.C 'partner swapping'.

Whichever term is used they both have one thing in common......the word 'swapping'.

Therefore, the fact that singles don't bring anything to the party is the reason we don't class them as swingers.

As for single guys saying they're having no luck and they feel the site is geared to couples (swingers), that's easily remedied, find yourselves a like minded partner.

Or maybe they wouldn't want to swing with their partner, many guys have intimated as much in the past.

Of course it goes without saying that single women will always be more successful than men on the site because of the ratio if nothing else.

When we started using sites we were surprised that singles of either sex used them, probably because we always associated swinging with couples.

Well......that's our take on it.

I think that by saying that of course couples are playthings makes this question a bit superfluous!

Trace & Rick have hit the nail on the head.. That to proper swingers is in our opinion, correct! We like to play with singles when we feel like it and will continue to do so, but if they think they are anything more than a plaything, they should think long and hard as to whether this is right for them!

BTW! I mean no offence to anyone, it’s just how we see it! If it really is too hard to take, stop mailing us hoping to get the delightful Innuendo into the sack! (and emptying it!)

So, as I have said before, if singles are swingers just because they are on a swingers site, if I lift the bonnet on my car, does that make me a mechanic? NO!

If singles are swingers, then that means that all the singles on the pull, on a Saturday night are swingers too...

Exactly our point. When couples meet couples, everyone swings; when couples meet a single, the couple swings and the single pulls; when two singles meet, they each pull.

So yes to the lovely gentleman who's now left the site, you do. As for how important the terminology is, I'll leave that to you to decide.

It is believed by many that the origin of swinging is not 'wife swapping' (in the 'sixties' sense). Like everything that evolves and changes people will always latch onto the branch or element along the way that suits them and cling to it.

They're the owners of the one true religion!

Some who preach this idea of 'real swingers' should wake up and realise it's evolved.
