Has to be shaved smooth for me but sometime I do let it grow a little so I get a closer cut the next time I shave.

I still am nervous using my razor on my balls just need another pair of hands to hold them taught to help give me a smooth cut LOL

Firstly Philips one blade is what I highly recommend for using to shave your balls if you do, with 3 mins my balls are clean shaven and smooth.

From a hygiene point of view, having trimmed hair is not a bad point as it’s better then a wild forest and not going to harbour bacteria or germs and if you can’t be bothered to go Rambo then trimmed would be a starting point.

Totally agree that shaved is better, I’ve got poor eyesight and I’m still trying to figure out how to shave really tight with a blade and not cut them off ??
