I (Mr) is a Type 1, and the ups and downs of the side effects get in the way sometimes, having a period of high bloodsugars now and it's affecting the little man and his staying power. Massive psychologicly blow.

But when its in control I haven't found it get in the way tbh, and people we met understood the need to inject etc we where just upfront.

I've spoke to people before who have the issue. Viagra is the go to they tell me. Plus theres many ways of giving pleasure. People just need to be with the right couple that understand these issues and accept them.

Spot on, we have been lucky and 2 of the 3 couple we have met with also had diabetes as well so its not that uncommon.

I'm Diabetic Type 2, but it's all under control.

However, when it comes to Meets, sometimes I do have to plan ahead once I know a meet is planned.

That includes knowing to take my little Blue Pill at least 12 hours before, as in my medical set up, I get best results that way for the meet scenario to work.

Plus, getting as much rest the day before; that's because I work Night's and going to meets straight after a Night Shift has been known.

Are you on medication for your type 2

T2 here and because I took control 11 years ago I don’t need meds.

A virtually zero carb diet gives me an HbA1c of 27

I’m ( mr) am type 1. Thankfully it has never affected my bedroom performance. Nothing like low blood sugar to get rid of a hard on.

Diabetes set me free! I don’t think I have a difficult time though, not eating carbs is a doddle.

Type 1 for 36 years and it has begun to have an effect which then leads to other issues of a psychological nature. The new cgm has made a difference but would have helped more 10 years ago

Type 1 here, cutting carbs before playing does help. Pump can get in the way tbh. People I have been with know, I also tell them to keep an eye out too

Emotional lows or hypos? Depends on what medication you’re on if any but it’s always better to lower carbs than increase medication.

Sorry hypos not on medication diet control only losing the 7 stone helped a lot but I find with diet control you have a hypo then you eat cards to stop it happening

If you are not on exogenous insulin or medication to force your poor pancreas to produce even more insulin, your liver will release glucose to counteract that. No need to treat feelings of hypos at all.

What are your levels when you feel like this? Are they false hypos?
