Do you think there is a high chance of getting a STI from a unprotected blowjob from a woman during a meet may it be with a couple or single female?

Would you consider this practice being safe sex?

I just want to know your take on the matter.

It's not 100% safe, no. I have no problem with it as long as the woman is clean and healthy (although I do ask if she's had coldsores, as I don't want herpes!).

From memory, I don't think there's ever been a confirmed case of HIV from oral sex, however you can get herpes, chlamydia, etc. but the risk isn't as high as it is from full penetrative sex.

I have done hundreds.. maybe more than that of unprotected oral sex... and never caught anything.. so no I dont think the risk is high.

I find it odd that a guy is asking if he can catch an STI from a woman if she gave him a blowjob.

Surely it should be the woman asking if she can catch an STI from a guy if she gives him a blowjob.

Agreed. The receiver of a bj, assuming no open cuts/sores, has a negligible chance of catching an STI. The giver has a greater risk, but fairly minimal too, if they again, have no open cuts/sores in their mouth.

no, not 100 per cent safe; always a risk if uncovered imo.

Ok when you go to get checked do you have an oral swab taken too plus oral and the hpv virus are connected too but I take the risk would rather not give head if I had to do it covered.

I get cold sores on occaision On my lip !! I would NEVER kiss or give a BJ when I had active ones... I am not likely to pass it on when they arent active.

its a risk you take

you cant really even say oh well he or she looks nice and clean so ill just get in about it... you just dont know what they could be carrying

personally we would rather go without oral than use a condom.

One of my meets was telling me he once caught something from a girl who blew him. ...I can't remember what it was sorry.. but his doctor told him it can be in the throat and you not know it, so I guess it can be passed both ways

That's right - I think it's gonorrhoea that can be harboured in the throat so a bloke can pick it up from an infected female (who got it from an infected bloke) ... and so the cycle continues

If it worries ya that much dude just have a wank.

You have to put these things into perspective;

How many Bj's are you getting from different people per day ???

From what I know and the nature of some STDs, both people can be affected in different circumstances meaning neither giver or receiver is at less of a risk than the other.

You protect yourself as best as you can. Whether you like it or not, the swinging lifestyle puts you at a higher risk than normal.
