Tips on building up confidence

Hi guys.we have a question for all the shy wall flowers out there.does anyone have any advice on starting that first introduction when at a club.we are weird and once we get past that first 30 seconds we can chat for england,but building up the balls to walk over and say "hi" is just hard for us. We want to do it but without a drink we struggle. X

I wouldn’t use “we are weird” as your opening line lol

I’d treat it the same way you would if you were ins “normal” environment. How would you start a conversation in a bar for example? Maybe start with small talk and go from there. I’m sure you’ll be fighting them off with a stick in no time

Obviously it’s a couple you quite like or you wouldn’t be looking to approach them so first of all catch their eye and return with a smile. If you get that smile back don’t waste time but get over to them with a compliment to both of them. If they are keen and not shy themselves you’ll soon be off for your starters. If they’re shy they will let you know so now it’s up to you to make them feel at ease.

I suggest you consider this for a moment before you step over to make your introductions - it is more likely than not that they as as uncertain and nervous as you are and will be both impressed and grateful that you offered them the comfort of a little company and conversation!

And if they don’t? That’s their loss anyway

Nothing wrong with weird guys.

Were all considered weird by vanilla people.

Eye contact and smiles.

Lots are shy and don't like to approach. So go say hi.

They probably like the look of you but are also scared to make the first move

If you don't ask you don't get and if I pay all that money to walk across the threshold I chat lol

Start with eye contact then a smile people if interested will do the same and you then can start to talk. Its no different from in a pub or elsewhere really.
