it's quite a well known phenomenon for guys to pretend to be girls on meets in some parts of the world, just make sure you can spot them at that stage and you are doing OK

We don't do ANY pro-active review of profiles, we rely on members to report issues to us and use the verification flags which we provide (verified by others, photo-verified) wisely. Admin x | |||

"To the OP, you will always get fakes and pretenders in all shapes and fashions, and this is on (going on a limb here) all sites. Some will try to argue being a free site means there are fakes here - not true. One of the sites I am on charges $180 a year (dollars) and I was still being emailed by fakes and pretenders (one had the gaul to actually want me to come see her in Philipines... year right!) The way I see it, seeing as I cannot stop the fakes and pretenders (be they guys, girls or couples) all I can do is be vigilant and not taken for a ride. Pick carefully, [ick wisely... and have fun!

We were caught out by the weirdos once or twice in the early days...but it pays to take your time to suss someone out first..if they are genuine they will be worth the wait..

I often think a lot of these so called 'couples' who want to chat to a single fem are fakers too...

Granted, it would mean alot more work for fab, but would mean users wasting alot less time" Probably easier just to look at the verifications already on the site i.e. if you think fakes are a problem, only contact verified + pv photos or whatever.

Its not that radical...youve said it several times before, and you genuinely seem to think that people are deliberately "picking" the wrong people and that its all their fault for doing so! I heartily disagree! I try to be vigilant, i follow the advice of longer standing members, and yet still i come accross more than my fair share of numptys...but i know damn well its not a fault in my selection process, nor is it the site's, but that of the idiots who think its fun to do this...at least give them that instead of laying the blame on the innocent repeatedly "Have to agree it gets a bit monotonous hearing the same advice when clearly no one goes out looking for hassle - but likewise I don't see the point of whinging about timewasters either, it's one of the pitfalls on here | |||

"verification does help. We have on our profile verifications and check peoples we are thinking of meeting to see if others have said they are gen. We only bother with profiles that have pics and we also speak on phone asap. Couples have never let us down or been bogus. Sinlge blokes are unreliable, they often bottle out when offered the real deal. This is a prob common to the scene and on other sites too sadly." see we have never been let down by a single guy...whereas dont really bother sorting anything with couples unless we have met socially first... My pet theory is that ppl tend to expect single guys to be willing to drop everything and dont put the due diligence in they would with fems and couples. | |||

"those who don't learn from mistakes are doomed to repeat them" out there in the "real world" if something isn't working for you... and you can change that.... you would!!! why wouldn't you do exactly the same thing here.... it may only need tweeking, it may need overhauling..... but you can blindly keep following what you do, and you can blindly have the same issue happen again... and again.... and again... i absolutely stand by what I am about to say... The thing is... it is far easier to say "oh there are so many fakes" when things don't work out the way people want.
If they actually know a profile is fake... report it.
But they don't know in most cases... they guess because they didn't get what they wanted... whether that be the other person stopped chatting, wouldn't send something to wank over, don't want to meet and so on.
All thread like this do is encourage more twats to have a go, as it makes it sound like everyone esle is doing it so why not have a go for a laugh. | |||

We don't reply to photo veri only. Anyone can do one for a friend. I can't imagine many people sending face pics to non member veri Females. You can tell some of the profiles are written by men.
