I'm assuming he sent her the money to pay for the hotel....and she didn't.

Whilst I sympathise to a small extent, this is a prime example of someone thinking with the wrong head.

If you are going to meet in a hotel, book it yourself, but include the option to cancel without fee, take a pic of the booking confirmation and send it as proof to your intended meet if they need re-assurance that you are genuine.

NEVER send money to anyone on here.

I’ve had guys send me money for hotel rooms via PayPal so it doesn’t show on their statements (wives not seeing etc) so money doesn’t always equal prostitution

Yeah, unfortunately it's a lesson learned hopefully.

NEVER trust anyone with money, bank details, personal details etc until you know them well and even then be wary.

Don't worry. It's not the most expensive lesson you'll learn. I consider myself a con-proof cynic and I almost got taken by a Russian woman a few years ago.

Next time book it yourself and when she doesn't show up pretend you're on holiday.

This happen to a mate, he had arrange to meet a married women from PoF (with her hubbies knowledge) at a hotel; they claimed to have booked and paid for the room for which my friend would reimburse them half.

My mate met the husband in the lobby, gave him £75 in cash; as the husband wasn't joining them, my friend was told the room number and off he went, unfortunately the numbers stopped at 500, he was told 501; it was at this point that he knew he's been scammed.

As I told him, that's what happens when you think with your dick ... so easy to do when you're horny. The moral of this story... when you're turned on, stay switched on!

Maybe it wasn’t an intentional scam, she may have got cold feet, hubby may have found out etc, you’ll probably never know. Put it down to experience and don’t send any money in future. Just say you’ll pay in cash when you get there.

Well if she was married, or you are married and trying to hide what you are doing, then a lot of people would consider that your own tough luck and you deserve it

An expensive lesson learned. I wouldn't give anyone money unless I was in a long term relationship with the person.
