Almost rwo years ago I was nearly 6 stones heavier than I am now, in my mind I'm still that size. Add in some not particularly nice comments and it sort of sticks with you. Fat isn't good and not attractive yadda yadda. This weekend past I had a mini epiphany. I'm going to stop covering up and stop being so hard on myself. No one's going to think I'm suddenly a size 10 because I pop a cardi on but I can be an attractive size 18 and be confident in myself. That's sexy - that confidence that who you are is more than good enough and people will find your body attractive. "Self esteem and life experiences an effect how we feel, for women having children can sometimes change us, maybe unhealthy relationships, media, false Hollywood glamour, many factors. Iv been 7 stone and 20 stone and hated myself at both, sexy and confidence is an attitude not a dress size. "My hesitation at this stage is not wanting to take the stage from others. I still have my hangups etc, but I probably get more general societal recognition for my body being attractive. (it comes with its own issues, but lifting is something I do voluntarily) I know I used to feel less than compared to smaller ladies, and I don't want to do that to anyone else. I’m a size 10, and have body hang-ups: think most of use do, but the point being it’s not limited to a size. Best sights in clubs are people just being happy naked no matter what their size. This took a while to get used to but I find it liberating now and have meet so many brave and beautiful woman.
On the other hand, negative comments have been from other females who feel they have the right to comment on my body in a negative light, normally through snide comments. Tackle our own insecurities is a challenge but we need to stick together, stand tall and embrace the curves - all of them | |||

I like the way my waist goes in so I dress to suit my body shape. I think my eyes are the sexiest thing about me so I use them! I guess I’ve realised that sex appeal is much more than taking your clothes off, regardless of your shape and size. Self-awareness is probably the most powerful thing for me; I know I’m not slim but I know what’s sexy about me and I build on that. We need to spend more time loving the bits that we like rather than having our confidence lowered by focusing on the bits we don’t like. xx

"Completely agree, and this is what I do for women everyday. I know what parts of me I like and how to dress my body, but I'm still a work in progress. This has been a struggle from puberty, my culture celebrates curves but I don't fit onto the European standard or my cultures standard of beauty. All I can do is work on it daily and make sure my daughter grows up with only positive body comments within the home. As I know she'll get enough negative in the outside world. | |||

I feel about as far from 'sexy' as you can get and can't accept that anyone could possibly fancy me. I'm not curvy or a BBW... I'm grossly overweight and come with scars, stretch marks, veins etc - not attractive at all. However, I cover up and accept that, personality wise, I can sometimes attract men. Body wise?
