I recently had to drop my trousers etc for a pre operation exam, during the examination I'm trying my best not to show any signs of arousal while the nurse does her examination which involved regularly moving my penis. I may have shown a little embarrassed arousal.. Has anyone else embarrassed themselves by showing arousal during medical examinations ?

Breasts checked for lumps years ago.... , and I was really embarrassed and somehow managed to come out with the words, "I could get used to thisb. I totally don't know what I was thinking I think I just had to say something and completely said the wrong thing.

I'm sorry to laugh but I'm cringing for you.

When I was pregnant a male doctor had to examine me for piles. He cleaned the lube off after he'd finished and I heard myself say "it's been a while since anybody did that for me". Then cringed all the way home

Ahh yes those awkward silences can be a frustrating causing random speech without thinking. i nearly said 'take as long as you like' after the nurse commented "this wont take much longer"

I am one of the medical professionals who have been involved in things like this and can tell you that those moments are comedy gold. I can never say things like that, I’d get sacked or struck off, but actually these things are what lighten the day, so please, don’t cringe

I had to have a camera put up my bum which was done under local anaesthetic. They decided in their infinite of wisdom to show me what they could see as they brought the camera round to my bared and haired backside.

In a state that j can only liken to downing a bottle of gin I shouted (at full volume) BOOBS!!! and pointed at the nurse who was trying not to laugh and told her that although they were hairy I thought her boobs were epic.

Hahaha yes!!!

So so so embarrassing!! I had been in hospital for 7 days after a heart attack.

Morning glory and was having a little stroke - no pun intended.

Nurse came round to take bloods earlier than normal - obviously I stopped. One arm out to the side on a drip, the other she took for bloods. Couldn’t hide anything. Nothing was said but it would have been impossible not to notice

I've heard similar 'that they've seen it all before' not that it helps when your the embarrassed one getting that growing feeling down below, luckily for me counting the items in the room over and over helped me..

In my situation the nurse was very professional i have to say, and its a credit to all medical staff putting up with all our medical problems, which i think makes it slightly worse and more embarrassing to think here's this professional person going a good job and i'm getting aroused or saying something embarrassing, I'm sure their are light hearted moments as with all embarrassment and its hats off to all medical for their professionalism ... not sure how i'll cope with follow up operation lol
