Hey Fab Hive-mind ...

A friend of mine has left Fab without giving a reason. I have her phone number from a saved message, but have never used it. Do you think it’s ok to contact her, or do you think I shouldn’t get in touch? We’ve never met, just chatted extensively.

Thank you!

Joe xx

Only you can judge how that situation would pan out. If you think she would feel comfortable with that, go for it. I’m assuming she gave you her number for you to text?

Depends how close you are. But if I’d left suddenly, I’m not sure i would welcome someone using my number out the blue. Different if she gave you warning of leaving so that you could stay in touch though.

She said she was away for 4 weeks and left me her number. I was away too, came back and she’s left fab...

Text her with a polite but short message. The worst she can do is Block you and then you know she doesn't want to chat

If she gave you her number then it’s safe to assume she’d be happy for you to use it. Send a polite message not relating to fab or sex just in case she’s seeing somebody or married etc.

If she trusted you enough to give you her number originally, I'd try one friendly text along the lines of "Do you want to keep in touch?", then if no reply or a negative reply you delete the number and move on.

Ok. I don’t think she is, but maybe that’s why she left...

Brighton - even Hove!

I’d send a friendly but non fab related text and then leave it if she doesn’t reply.

If you last chatted on good term and she gave you her number then I don’t see why not, but be very careful on what you say on it in case she left because she is now seeing someone or family reason..

Ok. A polite and friendly non-sexual text seems like the consensus. Thanks everyone!

Now to see if I can remember how to write polite, friendly non-sexual texts .... x

I only give people my number if I'm happy for them to contact me.

I think you'll be ok
