Probably they do...but it doesn't prevent you getting 'pulled' for gross misconduct....

Many years ago, they used that as a 'sting'..

A 'couple' would sit around, let the guys chat, then, if the guys suggested anything, they were arrested, hauled over the coals, and cautioned for 'lewd behaviour'...

However, it did not last long, as the make/model/reg number of their vehicle, was quickly passed onto everyone.

Also, I do believe, that it was considered a form of 'entrapment', and all the cases were dismissed, and charges dropped, 'convictions' quashed.

Not sure how true they are, but, plenty of 'stories' of bored bobbies, driving to local spots, and having a bit of a nice time with couples.

Who knows, eh?
