Current best? Probably Fury, better boxer than the others but it's a poor division in comparison to the best years.

Best in their prime, see below but I'd have loved to have seen a peak Tyson in with peak Ali, Frazier and Foreman. Or what about Liston against Tyson.

Best ever, Ali but Frazier took him all the way.

I agree with fury, but don’t think the current division is as bad as people think, certainly better than the previous 20 years ( excitement wise at least ) but know what you mean

In prime ,, think Mike Tyson without doubt but Lenox in his 30’s was amazing

Best ever ,,, uuurrmmm Ali as a whole I guess but a prime Tyson beats a prime Ali in my opinion

But all down to opinions

Nice

Do think it’s levels with boxing and even the best Joshua doesn’t touch fury but the good thing with the heavyweights is one punch changes everything

Dubois yeah hits hard and young but think it’s 10 fights away before he’s relevant to the top but if he learns how to box he could be frightening

Joe Louis great shout but for me it’s the loses and longevity, but in those days things were very different

But great opinion

Fury is the best right now. In their prime it's a no brainier. Mike Tyson was the baddest man on the planet. Best ever was Ali. For his talent, his adversity that he went through. And he became bigger than boxing. A proper global icon

Ali, definitely best ever - think people have forgotten just how good he was in his prime. Tyson and Fury wouldn't have stood a chance

Yeah Usyk could be great but it’s a big step moving up, would like him to have 1 or 2 warm ups first but yeah he could be right up there

Awesome was your husband any good ?

Yet, Norton gave Ali his toughest time in all their fights. Ali never looked convincing. Styles make fights and all that.

Mike Tyson was my favourite but I do wonder if a prime Mike he would of been able to get close enough to say a prime Lennox with his jab or prime Ali with his movement

Could you imagine how good those fights would of been

He had 98 as armature and 5 professional but he now teaches with Curtis woodhouse. If we go way back Jack Johnson in this heavyweight mix he was a tough nut

Prime Larry Holmes beats most.

Anyone in the Top 10 in their prime beats Prime Mike Tyson. He looked great when it was all going his way, but being a champ is about overcoming adversity in the ring, and he couldn't do it.

Prime versions of Louis, Lewis, Ali, Foreman, Holmes, Johnson, Frazier beat him

I think the fact Tyson was smaller gave him the edge .....stay close and they couldn't really hurt him. But yeah, them fight would of been amazing

Another good shout and that’s what’s great about boxing it’s all opinion. It’s hard to go against this above as we will never know. Personally those couple of years when he was young and hungry and relatively untouched by fame he would be to much to handle even with the ones mentioned above in their prime

What’s your current top 3 ?

Best in their prime: Tyson

Best Ever: Tyson, Roy Jones, Ali, Holyfield if we are talking boxing outside boxing Ali

Best Current: ? best technical Tyson Fury

No current boxer has the speed of Mike Tyson

Current it's Fury, Wilder, Ruiz.

Think Usyk will handle all heavyweights with relative ease except for Fury. Of course Wilder could knock him out; his power ranks highly through history, for me.

Mike looked devastating, of course, but against a poor crop. Waiting for him in the early 90s were Bowe, Foreman, Holyfield - men who his intimidation tactics would never work against (OK maybe Bowe, maybe, even then I doubt it). Not saying Prime Mike wouldn't even win those ones, but I have my doubts. Didn't like it up him.

cirret top 3 id say is Fury,Wilder and then Aj but I fear AJs number is circled now after his latest KO....better boxers will find a way past power. Alot of good boxers coming up a weight division lower who may come up in weight.Dubois is good but very early yet.Is Whyte gone now after this latest drug test, same as Miller.Surely we want Wilder to remain relevant for KO ability alone whereas Fury doesn't have the same KO threat but is a far better boxer.

Ali best ever

Frazier

Joe Louis

Hard to compare across eras

Mike Tyson never quite proved it for me to be top 5.

Lewis on his day was great but i dont think many performances were up there.

Fury is a con artist. He was on nandrolone when he beat klitsch,, then refused to defend his belts as he knew he was a one trick pony. He hasnt beaten anyone of note since or before.

Wilder is awful.

Joshua is clumsy and chinny

Whyte possibly on drugs

Good point about Fury and his steroid use, in fairness. Genuinely suspected before he was caught. Reckon bulk of the top 10 are on stuff. Whyte just the latest dope

Yeah after prison he wasn’t the same and his prime was to short to be considered the best ever really

Like them or hate them the klitschkos were amazing at what they did but in a relatively poor division but that’s not there fault

So for me best ever heavyweight would be between Ali and Lennox Lewis

Current - hard to say, neither of the current fighters are close to being a “best ever” division full of GOOD fighters, but not one stand out for me, anybody can beat anybody at the moment! But if i had to pick id say Fury, way he moves for his build is phenominal!

Best in prime - Tyson for me, first fight i even seen was Tyson, first fight i remember was Tyson v Lewis but mike was already past it! Could have been all time greatest if he didnt keep losing it and getting locked up!

Best ever - Mr Ali, need i say any more!!

Personal best/fave fighter in any weight division for me though will always be Mr Calzaghe!! Would have had so much more recognition if he had been English or American i think too! Won so many fights without even sparing in training for months, so many fights won with hands broken before he even got in the ring and still managed to retire, un hurt, hardly even punched to be honest, undefeated in 46 and undisputed world champion and as humble as they come too

Thats the thing with heavyweights! anybody can be great, but anybody can be knocked out in seconds, thats why its so difficult to chose! Tyson vs Ali 10times over, and they could win 5 each!
