Most profiles are not too long apart from the ones with pointless legal claims or some picture laid out in letters.

Most contain a little info about the person.

're today

Are you sub?

Please read profile

Ok

Do you want to chat on kik?

I always try and respond to mail if the profile pic catches my eye and the first line looks interesting.

Must admit to thinking about deleting the text altogether and just turn it into a guessing game.

To be fair ours is a bit long (added to over the years from experience) but the vast majority who message us have obviously not even got past the first paragraph.

Maybe our new one should read something like:

We are a couple but sometimes that depends on our mood.

We live somewhere on planet Earth (apart from our weekend trips to the Moon) but don't ask where we are as that would be too easy for you.

We like sex but sometimes we don't.

What do we like? Everything but sometimes nothing. Etc Etc.

Barely anyone reads them, hardly anyone reads mine. I've been told it's too long, but surely some information from the off means we're not wasting each others time.

Most people just look at the pictures.

Most men on here are just wanking over those pictures.

As a woman you could have a blank profile...no text and no pics and you would still get " hi Lizzy, I love your profile "

Yep. I did this a few years ago. Proof that loads don't even look before sending messages.

I tend to think women on here don’t usually care for the profiles of men, I’ve been chatting back and forth with some nice ladies, good banter and decent conversations then realise they haven’t even viewed my profile

I try to read every profile that I’m contemplating messaging at least then you can quote the profile of things in common or similar interests and so on, if they don’t have much written il usually ask them a little about them in my first message

Maybe you should modify yours to read:

Now back on FAB after serving my sentence for cutting off mens cocks and nailing them to by bedpost.

I managed to convince the parole board that I am now fully rehabilitated, but I'm a good liar.

Would like to meet men for private meets in my new bedroom.

I don't bite but maybe slash a bit.

I bet you would still get loads of "wanna meet" messages.

Same here. It’s important that people understand what it is we seek. The least they can do is read the profile. Don’t think many get past the photos.

Personally I'm not bothered if mine is read or not.

How ever if approaching a prospective swinger I do like to do my research and read up on them, makes sense really, after all they might want to stick the Eiffel Tower up my derriere, wouldn't be a good idea arranging a meet without checking things out eh.

We've recently put in one of those phrases to type in the subject box so we know who has read it.

Probably about 5% of men have.

What's the point?

I know it's long but it's not THAT long and it's split into categories so if you're a couple you don't need to read the male part and so on. But no, every man on here claims they'll happily spend hours pleasing a woman but can't spend 5 minutes reading.

Classic,. You being online means him having sex, that's how it works with some people.

Mine's longish (which to say isn't really long at all) and I broke it up with CAP headings in the end. Makes it read like newspaper piece lol. There's no text formatting here which doesnt help - people do balk at them I think. Even just bold, or italics would be useful.

If you’re not going to read a profile and just blindly message it shows just how little interest you have in that person and see them just as a piece of meat. You don’t have unforgettable sex with a piece of meat

Chances are the folk (yep couples, single ladies are just as guilty as guys) for not reading profiles ..won't read this thread either

if guys are wanking I wonder what they're doing ?

Answers on a postcard.

Those that complain can always be proactive rather than reactive, that way you contact those folk whose profile interests

Yes!

Also those that say they have read my profile then go on about how they want to do *insert things from the list of things that I said I don't want and won't do.*

If they can't respect my wants and boundaries on a first message why would I trust them on a meet?!?!

I allways read the profiles but it rarely seems to help me get a reply.

I can understand why men would think of it as a numbers game and message as many as possible, without taking the time to read any of them.

The time it takes me to read a long novel profile and send a message back, I could of messaged around 10 or more.

But why waste time messaging people who either don’t want you or you don’t want? Why not take the time to read and work on quality connections, rather than throwing messages out there at random? When the messages are random they’re far more likely to be ignored thereby decreasing your chances anyway. Could be that you’ve already messaged someone who did want someone like you but because you didn’t pay attention, you missed out. Those cut and paste messages come off like throwing shit to see what sticks and like any hole will do. Not the way to get people naked.

Reading a profile (a longer one or otherwise) is going to help you be taken seriously for sure - but not necessarily to get a reply though. You gotta realise, too many people are sending them out.

If you really do see a 'long' profile as like a such a chore, chances you are you won't be compatible with the person or people who wrote it, and that kind of compatibility matters to people here, it really does.

Try going for the kind of profiles you'd write yourself is the best advice I reckon.

I think some men just see a nice picture and message in hope of a reply.

Like I said I do read all the profiles who I have messaged, but maybe I'm just wasting my time.
