It happens, even after the initial pic attraction the conversational part via messaging can also put folk off. Just keep going is what we say, thick skin, water off a ducks back approach and all that.

It means the person has lost interest and doesn't want to chat anymore or take things further. It's not a shame x

Some people just chat if none of their friends are on. Then you get ignored once one appears

Annoyingly common. Good manners surely to just say you aren’t interested?

I don't see it as ghosting unless we've met a few times and become friends. Anything else is just a loss of interest - frustrating when you think it's going well but saves you time in the long run as they weren't right for you.

When you start to receive or find yourself sending 3 or fewer words in a message you have reached the end of the conversation. Recognise it and be prepared to move on .

Oh yea we've been ghosted by couples and single females we've made friends with. Just delete them and move on, not everyone is ignorant but unfortunately there's some who are just to far up themselves. Frustrating, yes. It's that people like that move along, we just feel sorry for the next people they are going to try n fool. Looks like we have one at the minute, a single male. Hey ho, it takes all sorts. We remain positive and keep smiling throughout

Ghosting is when someone you have been chatting to for a fair bit, or are friends with (usually in real life) or in a relationship with and suddenly pooof! They disappear no messages, no contact..evaporated like a ghost into the ether x

Thank you. Thought it might be something like that.

And yes, I have experienced that too. Always a shame but people have their reasons I guess and each to their own, I say.

"Well thanks gor the input. Like people say just delete and move on then."

Yeah, it's good advice.

With the amount of mail single women and some couples get, I just think it's good that they looked at it. I think it can become small talk quite quick, and that's genuinely hard for some people.

From a bi perspective, I actually did it to someone today and I honestly try my hardest not to. I always reply at least once to everything. He just started repeating himself tho (while upping the game) and I just couldn't think of anything else to say. Prob was I'd only slightly hinted that I probably wasn't interested, rather than said directly said so - so I know I did leave him hanging. I think the semi-txt speak even 3 messages in was starting to piss me off - doing that gives people an easy excuse to bail out imo. If makes people seem a bit high, but he possibly wasn't. I was just slightly at a loss, which is unusual for me.
