I sent our face pics to accounts that turned to be fake in our early days.... We've both learnt now and not repeating that stupid mistake. But honestly, we would never send face pics now until we are A. certain that its a real person - with plenty of social veris and B.Also getting a face pic back. If you read back what I said I was saying poor show to all those who have attacked his grammar rather than targeting the horrible things he is saying. We're people the same as you. Don't worry I'm a piece of meat too! Plus it was a reply to a comment made about women being like meat, made by a woman. No need to get offended, it's an analogy Yes, but in general terms where women are often weighed up like this (men less so outside contexts like this), it's problematic. I'm not offended given the nature of the conversation, just observing that it's gross. But if it's in a different context then your point has no relevance to this conversation. If you are going to go back to how men refer to women as meat in other contexts historically, then that is a different conversation entirely. No one is literally referring to women as meat. We refer to each other as things like this on a daily basis. Rise like a salmon, fast like a wippet, ass like a peach etc.... Humour is a beautiful thing that can always be viewed as gross if you get offended. Be objective " No, but woman as hamburger implies she's worth less than other women, in an historical context used to devalue women. " Exactly so put it into context. A women uses an analogy about meat so I reply with another analogy about meat. She probably has a sense of humour more in tune with mine where we can joke about things without having to think about whether women have been oppressed and devalued by men. I know nothing of these women that he was cheating with... They might be the steak. So in your eyes I am putting value on the other woman by calling her steak right? It makes you look like a twat. or simply talking down your nose at somebody at something petty like grammar makes you look a bully.as long as others understand what is being written then what does it matter?its not an exam piece that is going to be marked.next time you go too insult somebody because of their grammar then just stop and have a think as they could be dyslexic,not had the best of educations,not been encouraged with their education by parents or simply might just find things a little more difficult to do then others. So much you could insult about the statement and sentiment rather than the grammar. Poor show guys and girls... I have started another thread asking that question. "Men who don't read profiles are the worst though. Closely followed by men who message us assuming it's the female who is online and not the couple. It's so frustrating saying over and over and over again that both are online not just the female. | |||
