I'm new to the scene, it seems that people are reluctant to message a member without any verifications...

How did u all start out??.. would a club visit be best or is there other routes?

Try a social meet there are a few about, we go to the Gloucester Social every month. There is a profile on here look it up and get your name down.

Sorry was that in reply to our profile comment?, If yes it’s easier if you use the reply & quote button, that way we know who you’re talking to.

We didn’t say you’d gone about it the wrong way, but if you’re not going to clubs or socials (where you don’t actually need a profile to do either) then you may need to look again at your profile (ie your shop window) to improve your chances of success.

A club visit is a good option even if you don't play with anyone, the club staff will be able to verify you. Plus, clubs are great fun.
