Just wanted to know how others get on with timewasters. I have been very lucky to meet some nice fun horny people here on fab and really enjoy meeting new people and making new friends. I have had some time wasted by others and I'm sure this annoys others as much as it does to me. Why do people chat to you,arrange to meet then let you down with no explanation. Have others had the same problems? What can we do to out timewasters? Surely we are here for the same reason,to have horny fun! Look forward to reading your replies. Happy swinging fun to all.x

theres nothing you can do about them other than up your selection criteria, if its lax then yes timewasters are going to get through

its pretty much something you got to deal with though, no real soloution

We dont tend to get many time wasters for actual meets.. but dreamers as we call them.. that talk the talk but its quickly obvious wont actually meet are a daily occurence..

We find a call early on tends to eliminate most of the time wasters.

I know its annoying but if someone at the last moment thinks they dont want to meet you then thats upto them, if they say i cant meet without a reason thats upto them they dont have to explain it may be personal, its when they dont tell you they cant make it and leave you waiting for them thats the most annoying thing

ive had my fair share of timewasters, someone asked me if i knew any good 'digging' sites in warrington, i then asked if they meant digging for gold etc, and for some reason the conversation stopped?? ppfffftt, wasting my time when i could be out digging for gold!

never had any...we have arranged meets for the next day and weeks a month in advance,they always turn up.If it is happening frequently to you i would reconsider your selection criteria

Yes I would agree with some of the other posters. It's just something that happens.We vet carefully, but even so we get the fantasists-people who they they will ring and then don't and send us a message saying they've been busy etc. When we get one of these we just blow them out and forget about them.

Unfortunately there is no way of ing out some people. Members tell you to look at the profile, check out veris, chat to them on the phone, yadda yadda yadda, but the only guys who have stood me up all had veris, all had decent profiles, and one of them I'd even met before!

If people are going to be ignorant, there is nothing you or anyone can do to stop it. Just block, report them as no shows, and move on.

In all the years we have been swinging we have had 1 no show......

I think a lot of it is how you go about things....i tink timewasters are blatantly obvious from the start....

I have had my time wasted on a couple of occasions , I turned up to a meet and was stood up and on another occasion a very late cancellation , luckily both were fairly local and I did not have to travel too far , oh and I was blocked for my troubles . This was enough to make me leave the site.

And on returning recently , I had a female member swap numbers and after a brief talk and feeling quite optimistic about a meet quite soon she did not reply to me for over a week on here or off her mobile . She then had the decency to reply and even called again explaining she had been busy but is still happy to meet me and soon .

This scenario lasted about two months until I realised this was just someone who got kicks out of talking to men on the phone and probably never meets. Timewaster.

or she never met anyone and bottle it for what ever reason, sometimes its coz they scared, sometimes they think you might be mean or reject them over something they are self conscious about

Similarly to others, I've gotten better at ing out, from amongst the hot bed of potential meets. Now I don't know if some of those that I've turned down wouldn't have been 100% reliable and satisfying, but I do know that their overall failure rate has dropped.

I always speak on the phone and a regular, though not too frequent thing for me has been a married guy who won't give his no - he won't always say this of course - and when they start making life too difficult for me, that's when my interest declines or stops. Other people's circumstances are their business, but I have learned that my rules kind of work for me, even if they don't appeal to others.

Overall, the less the prep, the less the contact with each other, and the greater the difficulties presented to me = a higher potential for issues. I like life to be fairly smooth, trouble free and to only spend time with decent people - if something doesn't fit this ecosystem, then it's probably not meant to be.

People change their mind about who they want to meet. You could argue that the people who cancelled on here may see it differently. They may have come on and put up a thread about pushy people putting you off or lots of other reasons for being put off a meet. Sometimes its not them its you and if you change how you interact with people they are less likely to cancel. The rule of doubt is if you are not 100% sure just say no.

Three years I've been on this site and never had a "timewaster".

I find it easy to spot those that will never meet. They love to send messages...usually of the "so what will you do to me then?" variety, but don't want to talk on the phone. When you try to move the conversation on to meeting they can't firm up a date.

When this happens I ignore them to their own devices as they're dreamers and fantatists.
