It could just be men, I'm not sure, but anyone else feel a bit down if they haven't had sex for a bit?

Is there some science behind it?!

Actually there is science behind it.

After 7 days the testosterone levels drop in the body which impact on the endocrine system impacting the mood center of the brain.

But then it also has various factors like age ect ect

In short :

Lack of sex over an extended period of time means certain endorphins aren't released which will impact your mood.

Lots of papers and studies on Google if you want to go deeper into this, some are really interesting to read.

"My mental health is absoluely linked to my sex life!"

How long would you say is an acceptable period before sex is an absolute requirement?

Yes. My comments tend to get a bit more passive aggressive, when I'm not getting any

I find the opposite. After a week or so, I don’t want it anymore.

Yep, which can cause an imbalance in hormones, some men are more susceptible to feeling it that others.

But then there are also aspects of adjustment disorders which take place like depression, anxiety ect ect.

The same studies have been done in women too and they go through the same aspects of what men go through.

That is something I'd love to discuss with you. How you deal with it, how you manage with the "crash" phase after

Normally the opposite ,feel more active and alert if haven't had sex for a while ,but feel a little down after ,probably a lowering of adrenaline

In a sleepy little village

I've had no sex since early Feb and haven't been on fab until 4 weeks ago. It didn't really bother me at all and I've been happily doing my own thing. Within a couple of days of logging back on I noticed the frustration starting to build again ! I definitely need to get those endorphins flowing again
