"... a swinger?"

Used to be a couple who engage in sexual activity with others outside of their relationship with the consent of their partners. Swapping and so forth.

To me now it's what we do as a couple but so many singles are part of the lifestyle and it's about open and like minded individuals having lots of fun.

I have found over the years the etiquette has changed somewhat in clubs. A few aren't aware of the unspoken rules with swinging. Like if I'm in a club and a single guy talks to me, asks who I'm with and get scared off when they find I'm with my boyfriend or others that don't realise that having at least a conversation with him is respectful before inviting me in for a play.

I’ve had some members block me as soon as I say yes, I’ll be meeting others so thanks for the first definition.

Plymouth and Newcastle (sometimes)

Someone who engages in non monogamous sex with one or more like minded partners. It's a mindset and not whether it's a couple or a single that can be swingers.

So swinging can include a partner but doesn’t have to. It can involve clubs but doesn’t have to. Ta for the input

You're just not compatible with them. They might block you so they don't accidentally mail you again. They might be looking for something different that's all.

I very much agree with this. You either 'get it' or you don't.

No they’ve made it clear that they don’t like the thought of someone they want to meet meeting others. I get the feeling for them Fab is a dating site.

They might be looking for a regular fwb who doesn't meet other people. There's not just swingers on here.

"... a swinger?"

Somebody, usually, partnered but not always, who likes engaging in recreational sex —as a couple—with other couples or singles and also enjoys socialising with people of similar persuasions.

peak district

For us, two people in a relationship who have recreational sex with others outside that relationship, with the knowledge, approval and usually participation of their regular partner. But we do know a polyamorous female trio who have sex outside their relationship.

If you're not in a relationship and fucking around you're just having sex for fun, as we did when young; we didn't call it swinging then.

You then get into sub-definitions such as full, soft, open, closed, BB, bi, etc.
