Does anyone have a tendency to find intellect really attractive, you know the sort when you (even if you think of yourself fairly clever) think wow this person seems smarter than me.

I dont know what it is but it turns me on.

I love a good chat but more often it’ll lead to a few innuendos to lighten it . Especially if I want to move it from conversation to action.

I like to chat to people I share common ground with, are interesting and can possibly teach me something. I hesitate to use the word intelligence because it incites some very harsh judgements

Taking that as social situation I'd say I would be very similar and probably seldom spend too much time on my interests.

Yes, I really like it when a woman shows how sharp her intellect is. We all have dull moments too, but that occasional flash is a real turn on.

I also like women who can make me laugh, which is usually because they’re clever rather than can do slapstick comedy

Yes, I forgot there's that point too, intelligence is ambiguous and doesn't actually mean anything. I suppose you could say a virus is clever if you were from the point of view of bacteria as it transforms it into being a host from which to propagate

But I like to think I know what intelligent people are...

What I like is sort of more intellectual curiosity. It tends to correlate with intelligence but it's not just intelligence.

People asking questions about the world, willing to explore, find out. Sometimes a sense of wonder about it.

God knows why it matters in the context of casual sex, but for me it does. It's a wavelength thing I guess.

Yes, I'm the same Op. I like intelligent people, those who challenge my thinking and make me think I can learn from them.

I like it when people use the odd word I don't know and terminology I don't understand and I love repartee.

I find it rare to find any woman able to produce 'slapstick' humour believably, sorry to generalise all females.

So yeah there's a good chance I'm with you on that

Strikes me that sapiosexuality is becoming more of a common preference. Must admit I’d describe myself this way.

If how I perceive that description is true then I believe you are talking about 'the laws of nature', I don't think we're ever capable of knowing or even understanding it all but what we have and what you believe must always be tested and contested, never just accepted.

Casual sex is also what you make of it. Imo.

I'm not sure where I see education in correlation to intelligence as like I say I think its ambiguous, but sex is in some ways now 'unnecessary', but humans still do it because it makes us happy etc.

I think it's just a thing that I like you have gets me aroused.

Was unaware of this woman, I speak from my social interaction with girls in that sense...

I just think women tend to be more rational than men. Or is that a Mars/venus thing, I dunno

I wouldn't expect you to know who she was, I didn't realise your age when I replied, sorry.

I can only speak for myself as a woman I don't find slapstick funny. I prefer observational comedy, like Victoria Wood.

That's ok I'll let you off

I don't think everyone is the same, just think there's a connection to humour depending on our gender. I had to remind myself of Victoria wood

A good conversation is a great ice breaker, not sure intelligence itself is a turn on as it can come with a boring personality but someone passionate about something is good.

Sapiosexuality is a big thing for me, not sure if it's subconsciously a facet of the dominance thing but it is attractive, along with a rapier wit.

I’m an utter sucker for a bright person. Big words used well really turn me in. And people with passions who can enthuse without just holding court.

I will add, I am fascinated by subjects that others are passionate about, if they are enthusiastic about it, regardless if i know a lot about it or not. Every day is a school day

It sounds unflattering but I very seldom get an initial physical attraction to a person. But conscious ones very much so.
