So, after a year on fab under a couple of profiles..shh just whisper it..might have found 'the one' early days, he was on fab too but we haven't met anyone else since the day we met...it says not meeting on my profile..

But oh boy all the messages, yeah you aren't meeting but how about me? Even me? Yeah but will you make an exception for me?

If they are friends they can find you off the friends list even if you have a hidden profile xxx

You could always set a filter to block single men OP - that will stop any new ones messaging you and will not affect anyone you have already messaged and/or are friends with

Set your filters, I had all messages blocked but yet people I had messaged before were still able to message me.
