So, when you start suspecting that somebody on your ‘friends’ list is not interested anymore....you’ve messaged them and they haven’t responded....what’s the sensible thing to do? Quietly delete and move on? Or would it be petulant?

Manchester (she/her)

Delete if it no longer suits you. Not petulant.

Move on , if they want to get in touch they will if they don’t no amount of messages will change their mind and it just gets creepier the more you send

I would say don't think about it too much, just crack on and forget about them. If they want to chat again they will.

If we message a “Friend” on here and they don’t respond after a few days we just remove them from our friends list

A lot of people, me included constantly clear out people from friends list. If they haven’t responded to a message I doubt they’ll be bothered about being rotated off your friends list. Kind of a minimum criteria for being a friend - actually talking to you!

They probably won't even notice if you delete them!

It will be awkward as f@ck bumping into them in the same club—considering that there was some sort of mutual contact outside this site, won’t it? Anyhow.....done now....

It's not Facebook if you don't feel you will be meeting no point having them as friends
