Still get Nervous?

We do

We have been chatting to a lovely couple for a short time and we are meeting them tonight for the very first time.

We are meeting for a social with the possibility of going on to a club after.

The nervous excitement starts for us as soon as we are sure the meet is going to take place. The real butterflies start the night before the meet. by the morning of the meet (now) it's hard to concentrate on much else

For us, we love this part of meeting new people, how will we all get on? Will we just go home after the social? Will we hit it off and end up in a club together?

It feels like Christmas eve did when we were kids

I get this feeling every time I walk into a club, fully dressed in my prettiest outfit.

But I do get a buzz from it x

Hell yes, still get nervous before we go to a club. We’re ok when we’re in there with a drink in hand

It's got so bad that I've put an hold on meeting. The anxiety gets too much for me . Even with people we have met previously

Mrs still gets nerves even when meeting strictly for social only. Even more so if we enter a club (and even tho we've been to the same one a few times before).

Mr doesn't mind so much.

I suppose it's all about how you feel as a social butterfly and meeting new people in general.

We both still get very nervous before meeting new people or going to a new club but think that all adds to the excitement of it all.

If we where to lose those nerves before hand then its not exciting any more or we have become to hardened to the whole thing and we would probably walk away from it all xxx

Never thought of it like this, good point. I spend so much time looking at others that look so confident,

I drive to a club and walk in with my belly in a knot, then sit all shy until I am loosened up. Xx

I dont really get nervous anymore. Just a buzz from the anticipation. I can feel it building as the meeting gets closer and as I'm dressing. Wearing something hot doing my hair and wakeup and my favourite perfume.

Love that buzz

It's it nerves or the buzz of what's to come.

We've only had a couple of meets and I won't lie we do both get a little nervous about an hour before, but when they are here or we're in a club it soon fades and other feelings start to kick in lol

I know what you mean..even though everything will be fine, it’s always an exiting and nervous first meet! After that is just fun!

I think that if you don't get the butterflies effect when your going for a meet then the fun factor is gone. You're just going through the emotions and that will show on the meet.

Only my personal opinion

Agree completely, it adds to the whole occasion, humour is really important with us and helps the nerves.

Works for single old guys too!

I was sooooo nervous going to meet a couple in Chams a few years ago.

It was a lovely meet though.

The butterflies is part of the fun, although we're quite relaxed with socials now. The fun part still is a groundhog day moment of nervous excitement.

I definitely get nervous....the nearer the time comes to meeting or going to a party the worse I get! Once I'm there though its all good!! Mr F is much better at it than me...he's the one that gets me in the door, gets me a drink and makes me feel calmer!!

PT x

Yes, especially the last few minutes when we've done all the getting ready and are just waiting for that doorbell to ring. But it soon dissapears once the action starts.

Just going through the nervous stages before visiting Club SX for the first time on a party night...huge guest list... nerve-wracking for a single male especially!

Feel exactly the same way. Someone once said to us the day you stop getting a little nervous is the time you should consider quitting.
